At ~6:15pm yesterday, William/ABC told me he did not have a firm date yet. Did he decide on a date from 6:15pm to 10:00pm? I hope so.
i heard that ABC is going to open on the 18th from a old guy, while i was playing with coach alex.. and he asked alex to come on that day...
William really needs to get those horizontal pointing flourescent lights like the ones at the Chinese National Training Centre.
Three days ago, I was there playing and coaching. They were working on the last 4-6 courts. I assumed that they already finish by now. William was very nice and welcoming.
I spoke with William/ABC tonight and he said there's still no firm date but the 3rd or 4th week of August is a good estimate. Here are some pictures. The lighting is still a little bright, but they are working on it (diffusing it). The flooring is good. That's about it for now.
what i think about ABC? 400 $ per year is way too expensive............. i think most of my friend will stay in SGVBC because it's only 280 per year.........people will save money for shuttlecocks.....
Errrr...not exactly. If you pay monthly: ABC = $38/month SGVBC = $33/month If you pay for one year in advance: ABC = $418/year, comes out to ~$34.83/month SGVBC = $330/year, comes out to ~$27.50/month Also, if you are 18 or younger, it's $308/year at ABC You can get a group discount from ABC, if you sign up with a...group. Not sure what that is yet. All else aside, yes, SGVBC is a better deal dollar for dollar.
I would disagree. For a little more money, you get much better flooring that is ALOT easier on your knee, cleaner facility (if Williams keep up with the cleaning), and more courts to play on. Hey Panda, thanks for the stringings for my sisters, they said it was great. Owe you dinner. You going to play tonight?
I will KICKING j000! I stated, "all else aside". Dang kids these days, can't read and don't respect your elder...pandas! What duh?! Your sisters are crazy! I strung those rackets at 30 and 31lbs.! I thought it would be too tight, they are crazy! ...I'm glad they like them. I'm too tired and sore to play. But that's never stopped me...before.
You are always "too tired and sore" to play, yet you play anyway. Let me know which days you are playing this weekend and I might go up and hit around.
Wow, the pics look awesome.. ..thanks for sharing some more pics, Dan..the place looks alive, now, finally!! Fantastic!! ..hmm, sounds very fun and exciting, oh well, would love to join the grand opening...but congrats and best wishes again to William on his new endeavor.. ..hmm, monki= is this the Andy Tran from SGVBC???..hehe
Errrr...they share the same last name? I don't know, I doubt it (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Gunawan is a very common Indo last name.
No... Rudy and Tony are not related though they share similer backgrounds. Both played for Indonesia. Rudy won the silver at the 1992 Olympics and 1993 World Doubles Champion, was also one of the top doubles player during the early to mid 90's I believe. Currently help coaching at OCBC.
