IMO, it was a bad decision. She is stressing the knee a considerable amount.

Certainly she should not have played two competitions in a row. You only need one tournament for an asessment.

WS Champion WJC 2015 VS WS Champion WJC 2016, who'll win in their first ever senior tournament meeting.

I think Yufei will go to SF if she keeps her momentum in the second game.

watching jinwei vs yufei game live...........jin wei behaves like she has arrived as a player with the non-chalant way she moves and flips back the shuttle in between points............but no question she's got the tools to be great................to me akane yamaguchi & chen yu fei on-court body language tells me they're humble and will go far in their career...............
when will we term those Jin Wei tights as Ähsan Tights"??!! ......lol

I think Jin Wei is too carefree in her play. She must have the determination to win. Not just to have fun.

Yufei outplayed Jin Wei 21-14, 21-10. What a difference from last year's timeframe where Jin Wei beat Yufei in two sets. This shows that Yufei has improved this year.

Goh Jin Wei appeared nonchalant and a bit out of sorts, Chen Yufei , some inaccurate play when going for the lines but overall a good game in attack and defense.

Goh Jin Wei, born 30 Jan 2000, at 16 years old still have a lot going for her, she'll go far as she matures and improves.

Kids grow at different rates, and their character and attitude also play a part in the development of their game; some improve at a slow uneven or steady rate, some quickly and then suddenly peter off only to come back again later, a few improve by leaps and bounds and stay there for a while when they reach adulthood, by that time in the senior pro circuit, it all depends on their talents, hard work and mentality how far they will rise.

At the same time, there may be unforeseen circumstances that affect them along the way. Of course, the majority fade away not long after they graduate from junior to senior level, never to be heard of again. Just my 2 cents.

At the moment, Chen Yufei appears to have improved more than Goh Jin Wei.

HARDIANTO/Kenas Adi HARYANTO did a lot of flick serves in today's match especially Kenas
wonder if that's just the way they used to play
they did a lot of "unusual" backhand shots too in the first game o_O

Diagnosis : Right knee infrapatellar spur displaced fracture with patellar tendon impingement.

At Olympics , she had played with that condition. She had no other choice. If it was an ordinary tournament, she would have avoided.

Thanks, but she should have skipped Macau after playing reasonably well in Hong Kong against 3 strong opponents, beating 2 and loosing to 1 all in 3 sets.

I think her doctor must've given Saina the green light to compete, it's probably lack of sufficient training and tournament practice that's hampering her in these two events. She'll be back.

Chen Yufei 18 yrs old > Goh Jin Wei 16 yrs old, maybe it is GJW who still have a lot of time to improve than CYF...
