    But..but..

    ..but, the percentage of both of them meeting in the Final is surely more than 50%..Wait a minute, did someone pull out the calculator and actually punch in those digits for a percentage no.??..:confused::confused:

    based on current form TH got no chance against LCW, but wasnt it what people said between LD and LCW last week? that's what made badminton so interesting, isnt it?

    Taufik almost beat LCW is the Swiss quarter final, so I think the "no chance" is pretty far off. In term of physical fitness, LCW is two level above Taufik now but that goes not guarantee a winning.

    Same answer, TH beat LCW in Macau Open and then in French Open consecutively.

    What the point? If TH hasn't beat LCW twice in a row recently, then he has no chance beating LCW in India Open? :confused::confused::confused:

    We have to agree that Taufik Hidayat has a chance of defeating LCW in India Open

    .
    If we were told "Taufik Hidayat lost to Lee Chong Wei at the 2009 Swiss Open (Quarter-Finals)", then we would have to agree that "LCW must have played better than TH on that day".

    Then, if we were told "The 3-games match lasted 65 minutes", we would have to agree that "TH must be fitter now, to last such a long match".

    Finally, if we were informed "In the 3rd game, TH lost to LCW with scores of 3-all, 5-all, 7-all, 8-all, 9-all, 15-all, 16-all, 17-all, 18-all, 18-19, 19-20, 19-21 (and the last few points could have gone either way"......
    We cannot say that Taufik Hidayat has no chance of defeating LCW at the 2009 India Open.

    The begging question is: Can both TH and LCW arrive at the Finals of 2009 India Open?

    Both LCW and TH have to tackle the CHN MS young guns first

    .
    As OneToughBirdie said... Both LCW and TH have to tackle the CHN MS young guns first.

    And I have listed them, namely;
    * [IMG][CHN] Kai WEN *(WR #85)
    * [IMG][CHN] Yanbo QIU *(WR #88)
    * [IMG][CHN] Long CHEN *(WR #147)
    * [IMG][CHN] Pengyu DU *(WR #154)
    * [IMG][CHN] Wenlong ZHOU *(WR #218)

    LCW will face CL in Round 1. And probably WK in Round 3. Don't think that ZWL can make it to the Semi-Finals.

    TH will probably face DPY in Round 3. And perhaps QYB at the Quarter-Finals.

    Wen Kai has great potential, IMHO.

    Wonder if Taufik will go back to his old tricks. Let go of smaller tournament, then bag the big one.

    Taufik uses smaller tournaments for his preparation for BIGGER tournaments

    .
    Yes, quite often Taufik uses smaller tournaments for his preparation for BIGGER tournaments.

    And so do many other tournament players. ;););)

    Everyone has very their personal touch to enjoying badminton as a game and as a discussion. :)

    I would enjoy games that either TH or LCW will be playing, against each other or other players. A game between the two will certainly be interesting.

    Look forward to watching the game.

    for th vs lcw....
    th is the more posible to lose in early round to low rank player....
    lcw rarely lost to someone outside wr top 10/top 16 since he is wr 1/wr 2....:rolleyes:...

    anyway...actually the perdiction is easy....lcw is expected to beat th....but if lcw lose to th...that is not something tat will let us surprise....as simply as tat...:)

    If I were TH, I would be getting my stamina up with lots of gym work as I would need it to play against LCW. TH's skills are not wanting but his fitness will not be as good as LCW. But having said this, I thought he was getting fitter in his last few matches.

    If I were LCW, I would be thinking on how to outfox TH - maybe I will stretch him by playing long rallies like the ones I did against LD. LCW, having beaten TH in the last two encounter looks hard to beat. He should use this tournament to sharpen his skills further.
