The colors don't really matter

To be fair, aside from yellow, if you string way beyond the recommended tension of 23lbs, the non-white colours end up looking like a dull white with barely a tint of their original colour. At first glance it's just dull white, but there is colour if you look closely.

Left: NBG99 white
Right: R4X 110 taro/faded lilac/light purple

^True. Even yellow BG80 goes pale when you give it the beans...

23? Not a typo? For me it's min. 7lbs away from something useable.

Well, not like anyone here would actually use that recommended tension. :DBut here's a picture of the back of the packaging.

Recommended Tension: 18~23 (LBS)

Mark A, do you know of anything close to the R4X 110's glass cannon feel?

Aerosonic is quite glassy brittle feel.

Nothing I've tried has ever matched it (but then I haven't tried AS yet).

When I had it strung on the JS10 at 25x27 lbs, a day after it was 1400 Hz. And it hit like a stiff board requiring very quick and sharp handspeed to generate any power. But the crisp brittle feel was a whole new level I've never felt before.

I played a league match against snowandlights' team the other week and he had a JS10 with AS in it. Sounded absolutely incredible, especially when he told me it was "only" at 27.

Given that the 62F took 32/33 easily, I'm giving serious though to trying the AS at that tension...

Not sure that was me mate...I string at 31 and I've never used Aerosonic!

So... I strung a BS12 with BG66UM @ 28lbs. (hand-crank overclocked to 32lbs). I hear it hit hard. I see I hit hard. I have a good level of control. But the feeling is so watery. Back to R4X 110 @ 28lbs.

If LN#3 can't match the Gosen, I'll be getting another reel of the latter. No way I'm going to run Aerosonic at 34!

I don't think the tradeoff for AS is worth it, No. 1 is already plenty.

I wouldn't mind trying the Gosen string, but I have a reel of No.1 still.

Actually I (and I'm sure many of us) would like to see if AS can handle 34 lbs. :)
