Loh KY simply outplayed the disarray former world #2 in opening game as displayed by lopsided scoreline, the Singaporean player movement is faster and his quality shots in terms of retrieving skill and net play better than the Chinese who seemed lethargic. Nervy ending concluded this match which supposed to be enticing duel, service error was committed by two players.

His consistency (and other elite players) have different level with Axelsen.
Well, Shi YQ should make amends in Sydney to earn much needed point.

kidambi played well last night, hope to see him back to thge 2017-18 form which he has never returned to. he has the potential to beat anyone on any day if he stops being lazy. sen has basically been figured out and his tame attack just puts him far behind. prannoy is inconsistent AF . no upcoming guys to take note of . kidambi will be the flagbearer into his 30s? i think so. unless some of the newer guys can show up like kodai. Luwang , rajawat, kiran, manju.

    All "Super <number>" tournaments.
    3 x Super 1000
    5 x Super 750
    7 x Super 500
    11 x Super 300
    6 x Super 100

    Total = 32
But 8 of them are cancelled this year, so there will only be 24.
You can find a list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_BWF_World_Tour

I mean for a player. How many tournaments are considered?? As an example, If a player participated in 16 tournaments, how many tournaments are considered for the points??

All points count. It is the summation of points from all such tournament participations

I think everyone is tired. Naraoka lost, SYQ lost, LKY scrapping by shesar…so many withdrawals earlier

Naraoka I can see is definitely very tired. Two semifinals in the past two weeks, with most of his matches going to three games. His playstyle is hard to keep up as it isn't the most efficient

He has to play faster than opponent to compensate his imcomplate skills.

He needs to improve his form.

All the tournaments (S100 - S1000), that's why sometimes the Finals doesn't reflect the "real" strength of badminton, players with average quality could qualified if they take part many tours diligently.

Not every player. Perhaps Naraoka yes since he had advanced in semifinal for back to back S750 (played 8 matches) then Loh KY (played 7 matches, semis in Odense and quarterfinal in Paris) but Shi YQ (played 4 matches in DEN + 1 match in FRA), the tiredness reason sounds illogical for his case, maybe unwell condition or other cause.

A riveting MS duel saw defending champion Loh KY made scary escape, he was really sloppy and patchy in opening game, his rushing style of play is opposite Vito stable form, the offensive shot looks blunt and found difficult wall to break as the Singaporean needed extra time to read and analyze the Indonesian pattern. This victory brought Loh sets up a clash with Ginting, the battle of speedy players, two other contests will present unpredictable outcome between Christie v Srikanth and Chou TC takes on Vitidsarn.

In WS category, Marin should be favoured to progress while below par performance is still looming for Okuhara and questionable whether the Japanese could pass Hsu WC. At bottom-half draw, the on-fire Han Yue is predicted to face Tunjung in final four.

They need a break. They have lots of weaknesses. Have to correct it and come back stronger.

Finally, Zhang Yiman wins a hard-fought battle that really could've gone either way. Good job, avenging her defeat to Marin last week.

4 service faults in game 1 for Malvika. Malvika protested . It's not about the height but service umpire said her leg was shaking. After 3 faults, after 4th fault, referee automatically came to service judge and said something. I wish to know what referee told to service judge
