yeah. What’s the point of having match referee? Totally agree.

For the camera footage, the problem is that the cameras are only for TV viewing and independent of the match organisation. Not officially for review purposes.

Like for Hawkeye, that’s paid for by the tournament organisers and under BWF for official purposes.

I think some sort of challenge system with video reviews will come soon for the serves and net kills. That’s easier to arrange.

yea their biggest concern for umpires that you would look nice in the 'theater' of badminton, no head turning too much, say right words and they just do not give a **** about right decisions. period.

Given the fact that the technology is available and used in many other sports, including volleyball, this is embarassing for all actors.

CTC feels like the macth has been robbed from him, ASG is robbed of the full attention he deserves for his victory (and look how akward he seems to feel on the podium), the referee is robbed of his credibility (he has the right to make a mistake), the crowd is robbed of a fair match, and the BWF is robbed of [fill the blank].

No one is winning here. What if it happened during a more important event? Because at some point, it just will.

..and the final match is between CHN and TPE in TPE's favour.

Remember the football match that started a war? :)

Yes. BWF should prepare for the worst situation like this, not just an innocuous statement with no inclusion of any corrective and preventive actions. I laughed after reading their statement, not even a fake apology to soften the critics.

While I agreed that the result couldn't be changed and everyone have to accept it and move on, BWF must have the responsibility for further technical works to improve the sports. This is so frustrated.

    In Olympic final 2016 WD.

    9-10 in deciding game.

    Double hit, clearly.

A much needed exposure for LKY tbh, SYQ reads every game carefully and attacks cleverly. Not as powerful as LKY/LZJ, but it says something when he can make LZJ mop the court time and again.

It's fast approaching the end of 2022, won't make a difference if LKY fails to defend his Hylo Open title anyway. Quite excited to see what he can do next year, especially after such an encouraging run in the French Open and Denmark Open
