I don't see how Christie showing no respect. Did I miss anything? He was just playing and acting like any player would have in a final match.
This was final match and the Indian kid was a 2nd round. The tension and the pressure were much different.
Christie was obviously under a lot of pressure most of the time especially in G2 and tried to up the pace and attack more. But Lin Dan was more experienced and he knew how to play the game better.

I don't understand why Namaste or bowing means more respect than just a quiet gesture. A quick nod should suffice for me. It was more about culture and tradition.

More likely Jonatan was stunned after Lin Dan's amazing comeback from 14-19 down to clinch the match. It was like the meat was already in his mouth and Lin Dan suddenly snatched it from him before he could chew and swallow it. Unbearable and tormenting, he didn't know how to react, dazed. Just saying.

If Jonatan is to progress as the next big INA singles player, he really needs to be able to keep the play going without making unnecessary unforced errors. And his muscular frame (almost similar to KSH) is actually looking to be an impediment for him as he struggles to make sudden changes in directions when LD forces him to twist and turn.

In my opinion, if not for Jonatan's athleticism, his speed and power, to make up for what he lacks in skills and experience as compared with Lin Dan, he'd have lost comprehensively in two straight sets.

JC´s behavior was not wrong, I detected no problem. Remember when LD won the SF in Malaysia open 2015? The macth where the umpire faults him on the serve 2 times and in the end Jorgensen gets a red card for obvious misbehaviour when he cannot stand that LD was better than him. JC did nothing like that. It was more dubious that LD was allowed to waste time in G2, maybe should have got a yellow card.

Ok I dunno y i see some fellow members spewing hatred for my legend Super Dan..Like for what guys ?

Ok may be those who are doin this cause ur Indonesian or Malaysian or Heck even Indian but cmon guys...Picking up on his age ? Uploading these goat images and hating on a player for being exactly who he is and being himself and real ?

I dont see how thats fair.

Either You guys r frustrated that ur player lost or just hate him cause you want to...those who have problems with him calling him on his age and tantrums n stuff plz remember its the same Lin Dan who won two Golden Olympic Medlas.

U guys even know that winning even a Bronze in Olympiv itself is a big achievement let alone a Gold and that even Twice.

I mean Im not even chinese for Heavens sake yet ..and Im really sorry if u guys think Im Over reacting but guys plz appreciate when a player plays well.

Honeslty even when Dan loses I appreciate the other player but that no way takes his tittle of being a legend.

When Kidambi won the game against Dan in china...I was happy for Kidambi but also sad for Dan but I know it doesnt bother him he knows he is a legend.
Yes if u think Y I support him over my own country's player..Then YES I Do...For Lin dan is a living legend and his game and fighting spirit is to be suported by anyone who loves Badminton

Plz enjoy till the time hes on the courts cause Im sure we all will be dearly missing this hero once he retires

He is a Human being ...Plz stop judging him for his behaviour and age if you wanna judge him do it on the basis of his play...His love for badminton.

    Thats all Im done now.

For Me LIN DAN will forever be the WORLD NO.1 even after he retires
And I will be always his Fan no.1 even though Ive never met him..In my heart Lin Dan will be the Greatest of all...The Sheer defination of BADMINTON

    Peace Out.

    Umm.. what?

Did you even realize that the one who attached Lin Dan's picture was none other than @Nine Tailed Fox, who was probably a greater fan of Lin Dan than you were? I believe he once said he was even willing to die for Lin Dan and still bless him from his death.

You were the one who accused Christie for being disrespect for Lin Dan and that Lin Dan showed some arrogance or stare bla bla bla. Were you posting in a wrong thread?

GOAT means Greatest OF ALL TIME. It is compulsory for a Lin Dan fan to quickly construct a GOAT photo of Lin Dan as a ritual upon his winnings.

Yeah, did check it. Pretty fast for 34 year old man. Court 1 LD is better than Court 5 LD, that's for sure.

Well this time all women's title WS and WD won by Japan, MD and XD by Chinese Taipei, MS by China. Congratulations to all the winners.

Guess it is not that hard to predict who has the biggest chance to win Uber cup this year.
