Hi guys, many thanks for all your kind words and well wishes. In Singapore, I belong to the Pioneer Generation, i.e. those who are 65 years and above this January. The government started this scheme to reward the pioneers, principally with heavily subsidized medical benefits, who had contributed to the building up of Singapore in her early years. As you know, especially those who follow my thread on "Singapore Also Can", Singapore's population is ageing and there are not enough births to sustain the economy, therefore the government has to do something for the pioneers when we are still 'prosperous', to ensure they are able to retire gracefully at least, since there will not be enough young adults to support them in the years to come. Also we resorted to importing "foreign talents" to help us grow in as many ways as possible. I started playing badminton in my early teens. When I had the chance to attend college (university) after working for a number of years, unfortunately only tennis was available and there was no badminton courts in the campus. Therefore I had to switch to tennis but made good friends with other undergraduates from my faculty. But I still kept in touch with badminton and attended courses, both for umpiring and coaching (plus athletics), organized by the SBA and the then Sports Council through the years when the opportunity arose. I love sports. Perhaps the best badminton encounter I had was to join "Badminton Central". I shall divulge more later.
Was commenting in the wrong thread Tough match for Chen Long it seems! Prannoy must have been playing well.
Nope, His defence is zero now. Even Wang Zhengming was hitting winners for fun against him this year in CBSL.
Oh Boy! Son Wan Ho vs Viktor Axelsen again SWH will recieve a hattrick of spanking from him. (Denmark - India - Singapore)
Marc Z. is playing really well! If he was more consistent he would be much better ranked than n° 15 Great backhand especially! Very light on his feets too
Prannoy has lost too many close games like these in recent times against various top players. He 'almost' got there every time, especially in the G3s! Maybe something to do with the mindset. Srikanth has better H2H against HSU Jen Hao, but with KS you never know! Win or loss - nothing would be surprising.
Srikanth out of the Singapore Open in R1 after 76 min of match ! Not really able to maitain any lead in G3. Srikanth will drop one place to Rank n° 15 and Marc Z raise to Rank n°14
Hmm, a Pioneer Generation Stock Broker who still has time to woo Miss Marin ...... life must have been very, err, hectic for you this week.
but Sony just closed the game after the midway point break in 3rd set. I am so disappointed in Ginting.
