8 years? LCW and LD won't be on the circuit anymore and we senior citizens may not be able to challenge you again.

Yours was 12 years ago. That must be long. Ours was 4 years ago in 2012. Not too long actually and other than his wife and mom, there was his little boy too.

MS qualifiers who marched on into main draw, Zulfadli Zulkiffli (MAS), Sony Dwi Kuncoro (INA), Kenta Nishimoto (JPN), Lin Yu Hsien (TPE) also four slots for WS discipline, Grace Chua Hui Zhen (SIN), Hu Ling Fang (TPE) and two Indonesian youngsters, Rionny Mainaky's (Japan coach) daughter Lyanny Alessandra Mainaky, Yulia Yosephin Susanto.

First round mixed doubles match, as predicted 7th seed Lee CH/Chau HW were sent packing early by Chinese new sensation Wang YL/Chen QC. Second seed Liu C/Bao YX almost found same fate, won narrowly over the unheralded TPE combination Liao MC/Chen HH. Mixed fortune for local pairs as Chrisnanta/Vanessa Neo couldn't overcome Arends/Piek but Terry Hee/Tan WH stunned more favoured Korean pair, Choi SG/Eom HW.

ROUND OF 32 (MS, WS, MD, WD and four XD matches which involve qualifiers), 09.00am / 4 court => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...11F8AD-3CF5-4664-8D85-373DB957B215&d=20160413

I just missed that match as I was looking around at the Li Ning stalls, and got myself to buy a pair of shoes.

However I was sad that Danny & Vanessa lost their match to the Dutch:

    Beat
    [IMG][SIN] Danny Bawa Chrisnanta
    [IMG][SIN] Yu Yan Vanessa Neo

I also saw newcomer Tan AN also lost in WS:

    Lyanny Alessandra Mainaky [IMG][INA]
    Beat
    [IMG][SIN] Ai Ninna Tan
    21-7 24-22, 0:35

But I was delighted to witness Terry and Wei Han's victory over the Koreans:

    Yong Kai Terry Hee [IMG][SIN]
    Wei Han Tan [IMG][SIN]
    Beat
    [IMG][KOR] Solgyu Choi
    [IMG][KOR] Eom Hye Won

And congratulations to Grace Chua for defeating the veteran Petya:

    Beat
    [IMG][BUL] Petya Nedelcheva

I hope our youngsters will continue to gain more experience.
