    True, true...

    ..Tony will...hehe:p :D ;)

No, but you're right though, in doubles, the ideal partnership should be 1 partner is the setter and the other the finisher/smasher...KimDongMoon, no doubt, is an excellent candidate:cool: ...Besides the fact that I don't think Tony was ever a XD specialist(he played some XD, even with his wife and the last time he played, competitively, in a tourney was with TPE's top WD player)..
Although, i was thinking, since Gao Ling never played a male(XD) partner, who is known as a great front court player/setter, and vice versa with Tony, who never played with a great female(XD) front court player/setter/partner, the possibility or prospect of seeing both of them play together is very tantalizing...hehe;) :D

Congrats to ZB/GL for making it 5 out 5 and to GL in particular for winning her 4th XD title (equalling kim/ra) and 10th AE title overall - has anyone in the history of the game won 10 AE titles??. You must salute this pair.
Credit to the Eng pair - Kellogg was unreal at the net and Clark was pulling off some of the most deceptive cuts i've ever seen - he was really mixing it up and hitting those lines in 1st game.
But the Chinese prevailed in the end, like the champions they are. Here's hoping their dominance in the XD continues!!

They still can't find a consistent partner for GL. ZB is a clown. Honestly, he's so one dimensional in his play and quite inconsistent. In any case I can see why GL is considered a legend; she's one hell of an amazing player. :)

re: my previous post - so it seems there hav been players who have won more than 10 AE titles :p

hmm I think you being a bit too harsh on ZB, Madbad. Yes he made more unforced errors than Gao Ling and yes he got caught out a few times by Clark's deceptive cuts but I still think he deserves a bit more respect than being labelled 'a clown'. It was an AE final for christ's sake, nerves will play a part!

The stats speak for themselves. I don't care how legendary you are, you don't win 5 XD titles back to back if you are paired up with 'a clown'.

Still Undefeated after 5 major tournaments = team effort!

Gao Ling is no doubt the best n most consistent player in China Team. In fact, i feel she's even better than Lin Dan and able to perform in pressure moments.. She win the AE for many years.. Lin Dan often get choked at big tournaments such as Olympic (lose 1st round to Ronald Susilo). He even lost tamely to Taufik Hidayat in the final of World Championship (2005 if not mistaken). If Lin Dan is Super Dan, Gao Ling should be called as Super Duper Gao!

Zheng Bo is not there yet, but I really admire his court coverage, workrate and mobility. Sure, he makes simple mistakes sometimes, but he is still on the learning curve.

Gao Ling, the best female doubles player ever? Quite possibly, why not.

Ya, when i c Ra Kyung Min plays, she looks more calm and steady.. She is the one and only Korea strong female player but is able to handle the pressure.. Too bad, LCW fails to handle the strong pressure as Mas no.1..

Ra is probably calmer, but Gao Ling smiles more ..... sometimes it makes us feel that it is effortless for her to do things, actually she had to work real hard, like in yesterday's win.

Extremely few player we've seen on international court that manage
to play with a smile on his/her face and even joke on his/her own mistakes
yet still manage to come out on top of anything that's being thrown at her

just look at her defence and net play makes u think she is really just having fun..

Thanks for that. I was wondering exactly how many matches this pair has won. So it's ZERO losses, 27 wins... and counting ;)
