For me Vintage Racquets are very rare and hard to find nowadays. Such as; 1. YY Blacken 2. YY Carbonex 8 (with T-joint) 3. YY Titanium Ti-10 (1st Gen) 4. Pro-Kennex Boron 5. Wooden Carlton
waaahhh...i have a yonex blacken 8100 (japan coded at the bottom handle), the frame a bit deformed, i added weights on it and used it as a training racket...i have no idea this one is a vintage racket...i picked it up in a void deck after one fine chinese new year wayback a couple of years ago....
Just got one of these myself. U - G4 shaft code 4 116SP, so presumably 1986 To fill in your blanks: 12 o' clock : "Multiple Layered Carbon Graphite" 7 o'clock : "Laser Quick Recovery and top flex for power play" 5 o' clock : "Minimum torque for positive and accurate control" On shaft: "Carbonex 15 All carbon graphite racket" (in the classice carbonex font) Bought from Ebay - thought at the time it was a later copy as it is not a single piece racket. Interestingly the T-joint is carbon - the first one I have seen. Feels very stiff and even balanced. Will have a quick play with it soon.
Bloody good to see these beauties! I just gifted my two Blcaken to my next door neighbour kids. They were well used and served me well. I still have my two Cab 20's unused unstrung for old times sakes... The best was to see the greats of badminton all lined up Hartono, Sugiarto, Sidek and Prakash...
I got a Yonex B-8100 "BLACKEN" for cheap couple days ago. The story was funny. I was actually looking for a cheap racquet for myself, since my wife is using Yonex. So I saw this ad on craigslist with only 1 small picture attached. Actually, I was more attracted by the racquet cover than the racquet. The ad said: "Made in Japan Yonex in good condition model LM-G4 $25" Then I was like oh lets go take a look, for $25 its worth getting this unique cover. So when I got home and went on the internet and search for the model B-8100 in it. I was shocked, surprised and happy!
YY wooden rackets Just to share some of my vintage racket collections. They are the B-1000 and B-2000 respectively. All three are kept since brand new, unstrung and with the original leather grip intact.

Hi Guys, I'm new in this forum so I'll just start by listing what I have/owned. All my racquets is in "Mint" condition, Never been used or "String", Plastic Handle Grip wrapper still intact in almost 90% of my Wooden Badminton collection and some with the Yonex Cataloque as well.. Wooden Badminton Racquets: "Dinosaur", Antique mostly from Pre-Yoneyama, Yoneyama and Yonex woodies. 1. Manufactured by Mr. Minoru Yoneyama, I believe its between 1946 to 1957 the so called "No name" "No Brand" and "No company" wooden racquets. What I have is a set of these so-called racquet which all looks quite similar except for the following below the handle grip "Made in Japan and logo "Y"- "Yoneyama Japan".. Other than that there's this wordings like "Hyspeed", "Dunhill", "Super - Speed" and "Super-Flight" on the wooden neck. Anyone out here in this forum familiar with these dinosaurs?? I believe these are Pre-Yoneyama models and then in 1961 the first "Yoneyama" Brand is established and the rest is history.... 2.Woodies that I own / have B1000 Queen Heart B2000 King Dia B3000 Collegiate B4000 Collogiate Deluxe (I don't have this but is in the process of doing an exchange with mu B2000 or B9000 soon) B5000 Five Ace B6000 Five Ace Deluxe B6500 Top Ace B9000 Hy-Stainless (Introduced in 1976) B9100 Slim Stainless (Introduced in 1976, has a slimer shaft which is as slim as the Blacken) B9300 Carbonex 3 (Introduced in 1978, one of the very first Yonex rackets to have a carbon shaft) (I don't have this but is in the process of doing an exchange with mu B2000 or B9000 soon) Also a few days ago a collector offered me a Mint Yonex B8100 Blaken for RM700... I am still indecided so if there is anyone out here in this forum who knows what is the current market going rate for a Mint B8100 Blaken please let me know? Thats all for now hope to post some pics if possible...
Yeah really cool these racquets cos I have all these except the B4000 which I am in the process of doing a swap / exchange either with my B2000 or B9000..
