I really miss the style of frames like the b8500 cab-8s. My father used the Yamaha YB45 back I the late 80s and I'd grab it as a spare when I broke strings. I found it here the other week. Love to use it again, but all the tip of the frame in anodising, and the paint is coming away, do don't want to risk it. Fyi the YB45 was basically the Yamaha version of the Cab9
Hi there from across the ditch! I have both the Blacken 2 as well as the Cab 7. I can tell you that they’re v. different, so it’s not a case of one racket with two different names for different markets.
owned and played as a kid.. blacken II, carb 10 and carb 8dx. dont know where they've all gone. borrowed with good intentions and never returned to me. as a kid, used to baby the carb 10, broke my pocket getting that. for sentimental reasons got a cab 21sp in 2001 just for the fun of it. it hangs on a wall as decoration, i dont even use it.. lol
Take a picture. Make a nice poster. Sell it to me a guy brought me 2 to string this week. Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
Well done AhXiong! I’ve gone a similar route. Been collecting the older t-joint Yonex models starting with the venerable B7000 Alumina Ace to the 1st gen. Carbonex 15. I’ve a second group of the 1st gen. built-in t-joint Carbonexes as well - Cab11R, Cab12SP, Cab16 & Cab3 (2nd gen). These all have the old logo.
is wooden badminton racket as strong and durable as nowadays carbon one ? or does wooden broke easily...
There’s no way a wooden is comparable to a modern Carbon racket. It will not be able to take the string tensions currently being used as well. It’s great to have a fun and friendly recreational game with a woodie but it will not able to take the stresses of current competitive play nor give you the requisite performance of the modern rackets.
