i know, it's quite frustrating not to support MAS player at this point but not to support our own fav player is impossible for me...:(

Congrats, WCH! I'm delighted for him. Hope this win will shore up his confidence and strengthen his belief in himself.

Even without the medal, at least now he can be remembered as the person who disposed the defending champ. I really hope now the TH supporters are not placing anymore unrealistic hope of him in the future.

WCH displayed some awesome badminton and strong determination in his match against TH. Congratulations to WCH! WOW WCH is still very good in attacking game. His coach Wong Tat Meng did a prayer immedately when WCH won.;)

It is still early days but a win is still a win.
Great fighting spirit by a 50% fit TH as dengue fever is no joke.

    If WCH want...anything can happen...
but the Taiwanese is fast and furious...
    can WCH match that?
if he can...chance of a colour is there...

I would exercise caution and not use the 50% fit TH as the yardstick to measure WCH chances.

Just watching him yesterday and comparing it to his recent outing, one cannot but feel he is a different class this time round. His smashes were more powerful and his returns were much more crisp and precise. And he wasn't making as many unforced errors. TH was playing better than a person recovering from dengue and although he was his usual self (playing brilliantly), he was never given a chance by WCH - WCH has got him mapped to a tee.

If this is a sign, then I think WCH will win himself a medal surely.

    Ok dokey.

Fyi, our archery was bandied about as potential medal prospects before the games. When the moment of truth came, the Italians exposed their typical Malaysian mentality.

Dont get me wrong, I am happy WCH beat TH. BUT this is a half fit TH. And despite WCH punching way above his weight, I think at best WCH can do is advance past the next round and no further.
