To me there is 4 MD top on my list now either CY/FHF,TG/CW,KKK/TBH and JJS/LYD. For KKK/TBH eventough they had won several tournament, i still wanna see their performance first, either continously improved or begin to flop(really hope this not happening) before WC begin ,if they continuosly improved then i will surely pick them as a winner.I'm sure china and other countries targeting them now.

i put the malaysia pair of kkk/tbh to win

    1) they are good. if they continue playing this way, they can win.
    2) it is in KL, Malaysia. everyone knows malaysian players perform best in Malaysia.

Well that WAS true with Lee Chong Wei until this year when he was defeated by Bao Chunlai in the quarter-finals round. He was the undefeated champions of Malaysia Open for 3 years straight 2004, 2005, 2006. I really did thought that he could make it to the finals and even win it for the fourth year straight, especially with the early exit of Taufik Hidayat and Lin Dan.

However, I do think this pairing of KKK/TBH is gold. They would probably make it to the final. Another pair that would make it to the final would be TG/CW and while they do have a good chance of winning, it really depends on how much Tony & Candra really want this title together as a pair and also their condition.

    Let's hope...

...at least they can compete(i hope so):p...Because i've also heard that *only* National team players who've collected enough qualifying points are able to compete..Can someone, familiar with the WC Eligibility ruling, confirm us on this??..

Depends on the Ina and Usa badminton federation. Every country has a limited number of entries (which I think is a rule we can do without) and CW/TG will take half a spot from each country. So, if Ina has 3 spots, they can send two other pairs (2.5 spots in total). Is Usa has 2 spots, they can send 1 other pair (1.5 spots). In the past, this may be impossible because Ina had many other pairs of great ability. But now, I can only name one other pair in Ina who is in the same league as CW/TG.

However, BWF can also give a wild card to them.

As long as nothing drastic happens between now and the WC, I'd say KKK/TBH for sure. I don't think they'll be going anywhere soon. They really have the right attitude and they play so well together.

Ya, KKK/TBH have the right attitude and have the right coach to plan the correct strategy for them.

Hmm, maybe these threads could explain if Tony'll be able to participate or not..

    ..ah, it's hcyong, again:);)...............thanks for your input:cool:
Well, in regards to Tony's eligibility, from reading these 2 threads, perhaps we can get a better picture of how the invitation works...
Here's one from the recently concluded U.S. National team trials, if anyone is interested in reading all the posts:
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39606 (post #22) and the following page for a picture of the new U.S. National team..
And here's a thread from last yr's U.S. World Championship's team, if anyone is interested in reading all the posts. :
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36027

So, i guess, the format is by invitation from BWF..And worst come to worst, if Tony can't participate due to him not being "officially" on the U.S. National team, perhaps he can be offered an invitation or the USAB can provide somekind of a provision...Although, as a last resort, a wild card spot can be granted to him... Not sure abt Candra's status/eligibility, though..

I hope Tony can participate with Candra. Nice to see Tony and Candra partnership. They are very friendly and do not show temper. Jens and Martin showed their temper to the umpire during the final against KKK/TBH in Swiss Open right? they looked like threatening the umpire. Candra and Tony never did that. That's why i love them.

winning 3 of the first 4 super series must put KKK/TBH as the favourites for future tournaments they enter. what remains to be seen is how they cope with being the favourites rather than the underdogs, if they don't let the pressure get to them, then it's looking rosy ...

They should not feel the pressure like LCW. LCW crumbles under pressure. KKK/TBH must remain firm on ground and humble. Take a match at a time, and not focus on winning everytime. When expectations are high, it is more painful to fall.
