Who do you think will meet either Lin Dan or Sony in the final? Taufik or Chen Jin?

A great show by Taufik after defeating Jorgensen, but how will he play against the 2nd seeded Chen Jin?

It's going to be a great match up, and i predict Chen Jin winning in 3 sets, but i hope Taufik can pull through and re-create history! But it's gonna' be tough.

    Discuss! :D:D:D

lets ignore rankings because at this point, its all about whoever is feeling better that day. i seriously hope taufik will atleast get to SF! if he wins WC, the taufik hype will be revived again =D

edit: i think LD will win though T_T

I think the key is TH himself. If he's focused, then he will move on. If he get the temper into his head, or simply get distracted for whatever reason, CJ will cruise through.

I remember it's 2-1 favoring CJ. All three matches are 3-setters. CJ won in 2006 China Open QF and 2007 Macau Open final, while TH won (with a thrashing first game 21:9) in 2007 Indonesian Open.

But those matches are all quite a while ago.

If TH has enough stamina to play fast and aggressively (like what he did in 09 IO SF), I think CJ has little chance. On the other hand, if TH play slow, CJ will easily win.

Have to agree. TH needs to set the tones earlier, and give CJ no breathing room. If TH let CJ taking his time to wake up and settle, then TH will be asking for trouble in rubber set.

    Yes! :p

Right on! CJ is always very fit in slow-paced games... but can breathe uncomfortably and makes waayy more mistakes in fast-paced games...

Chen Jin is not as talented as TH, I saw him being controlled left-right-front-back by Taufik in INA Open 2007... Even CJ can breath heavy if Taufik is playing smoothly...

If Sony and Lin Dan play like in semis, I think Sony will win the match in 3 tight sets (since I saw Lin Dan is not really superior today). And my prediction for final is Sony vs TH/CJ. :D

TH is getting old. His reflex is not as quick as 2 years ago. The danger lies in CJ's counter-attacking.

I want to watch the final between LD and TH, but it's not easy for TH. CJ could play long long rallies to exhaust TH.

    Someone already mentioned it..

    ..see post #7.

For the sake of a competitive Final match and since we couldn't witness a LCW vs. LD showdown, i just hope the MS Final will be between Super Dan vs. The Wild Child of Badminton...It'll be a rematch of the 2005 WC MS Final..
