yeah, that is one of Ipad Limitations, and also one of advantages that Samsung Galaxy Tab has over an Ipad.
I am always on Facebook!!! I believe I am the only Masaharu Alan Kakinami there so you can always message me there =) Kwun too!! Thanks for all the praise, but I want to always put out that there is always someone better out there, I am out to help stringers with technique, and hide my secrets. I think stringing is an artform, and if I can help someone perfect their skills, that makes me happy. If I find out I helped surpass my skill level, it would make me proud. Doing this video I hope can help stringers, I think some of my peers might not be happy with home stringers perfecting their techniques to make better string jobs, inturn losing business, sometimes I think that way myself, but I prefer to share knowledge and not be so selfish. To me its like making a persons life better, and knowing I had something to do with it brings me satisfaction. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the video and a special thanks to KWUN!!! With out him there would be no Badminton Central where Badminton Fanatics could find stuff and talk about current badminton thingies!! Thanks KWUN!!! I Love you!!
Glad to hear that you and Kwun are on facebook. As an older computer guy, 55 years of age, I am not a big facebooker, but to have the chance to interact more with top badminton people it will be worth the effort to get more into facebook. I think the elite level stringers world is much like the elite level badminton players world. In the same way that any one of those badminton greats who signed your machine could beat one another on any given day, its likely the same way with the world's best stringers. It's just great to qualify into the world class level and I think there is no doubt that you are one of the world's best stringers. It is also a big bonus for the badminton world that you are willing to demonstrate your skills and share your techniques with all of us. And as you point out, it is Kwun that makes so much of this possible. Its not only the creation and management of this forum, its the continued high energy and effort and that Kwun puts in on a daily basis that makes so much happen for all of us. You guys are both making a big difference in the world and you can be sure that there are many thousands of us around the world who really appreciate all that you do.
Wow, I'm definitely impressed. Is there any reason he's double pulling (as in pulling both at the same time) the first two crosses ? My guess would be for speed purpose, but is the tension of strings near the frame that meaningless ? Thanks a lot for sharing the video!
dude i am going video him doing it tonight! popped our bubble! now what it means is that he will need to break 12mins otherwise no more surprises! haha.
Hi Alan, I watched your video, and I was curious how you did your tie off knots. Would it be possible for you to post a video explaining how this is done?
impressive! but the music is very annoying... muted the video and listening http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83M60qeRyMc
Didn't use the diabolo - that's cheating. Insane speed. The music... I heard no music, just a compilation from hearing tests!
a video which explains the knot would be nice in that video (1:55) alan explains another knot.... also intresting: why did you change the knot?
Watching Walter Mak's video (is he Maklike Tier ?) I noticed that it's too tight for those fat fixed clamps to fit in and hold the first cross Answers my question!
It is a cleaner knot, and it doesnt move much when starting crosses. I dont have to hold it when I start http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150302731986948&set=vb.591276947&type=2&theater
AHHH!!! I remember you!!! I met you at the BWF World Championships in London and recognised your voice and when I tried to find you afterwards. you were there
