maybe AK will do it again! 14:45 is his record. i think he can break it. i heard he went to the gym to work out this morning to get in shape for it.
No, that is what a proper stringer looks like . Free DNA sample with your string (... excess string part ...)
Haha, that part was more a reference to and comment on the vid... Turn it into: "comes with free DNA sample to raise your own stringer clone" (Now back to: GAME OF THRONES S01E02 ^^)
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150302731986948 If it doesnt work ask Kwun to copy it or come in to make a video. Thanks for watching the video. Second video shot was new Voltric 80, BG 65 Black, 29lbs. think the time was like 16:50 Had lots of fun, was interesting to see how consistant I was trying to excel using technique. I was trying to speed through it, but tried to maintain a great string job. I don't like to present something with low quality, I thought string job was to my standards. Thanks again!! and Thanks KWUN!!!
wow.... fast hands.... good n accurate stringing.. i wonder i there is any1 here at my place...who can do as fast as good as u?
Wow that is just amazing! I'd be cool to have a close up of how he does his knots. It looks quite unique.
I wonder how he navigates those A15 and B12 shared holes so well? I always have a hard time with those holes due to the "S" shape that the string makes, hence i have a hard time threading it through the hole.
this is the 2nd attempt by AK that evening. this time it is a brand new VT80, which means that the grommets are not indented by the string and should be harder to string. and then also the string is BG65 which means it is harder to weave. the result is a 16mins 50secs stringjob. I watched Kakinami's 14 minute, 45 second string job yesterday and strung a racquet I had. My previous personal record was 28 minutes, I bumped it down to 25 minutes yesterday. It was a combination of watching Kwun weave the mains and Kakinami weave the crosses. The videos are cool to watch, what's more is it gives people a visual to analyze how what they do compares to what others do.
What I was most impressed with is how fast Alan manipulated the base clamps and fixed clamps. He would move the base clamp and with just a flick of his fingers set the lever and then move instantly to the upper fixed clamp. It happend all so fast, I first thought that maybe the closing and setting of those clamps were automated some how. But watching closely, they are just super precise and responsive such that someone with Alan's skill can consisently set and release them at hyper speed. When Alan was finished, I was hoping the camera would raise and I could see his smiling face. I really wanted to reach out and shake his hand in congratulations. Guess I will have to travel to one of the big tournaments he is working at and seek him out and congratulate him in person. I know with internet identity risks and personal privacy conerns, face time on the web is an issue. But when you watch outstanding work such as what both Kwun and Alan have done, I am often wishing I could see what these guys look like.
One thing that helps A LOT is that the base clamps release as soon as the fixed clamps are released and go back down. This is à great feature that I can only dream of when using my clunky Gamma clamps
