Nice to see the semi finalists recovered/happier from their loss yesterday. The feelings are still raw for the Koreans who just lost today, but they can be proud to make it to the finals. Great to see players from different teams interacting and being jovial with each other! A great team camaraderie and cooperative atmosphere!

Bronze ans Gold medalists are the happiest whereas as usual the Koreans aka Silver medalists are all sad faced and understandably so.

This is why the Gold and Bronze are earned whereas the Silver is given to the loser of Gold and is the harshest medal to have but nonethless Team Korea sbould be proud of themselves to have reached this far and being the second best....Well Played team Korea come back stronger.

    You dont get the point

The point is, there is no other players (when put under circumstances such as ASY now, as the sole savior of the country when they are trailing 2-0) that manages to give any worthy resistance. They crumbled. Yet, ASY managed to safe 3 championship points. Just show how good her focus and mental strength is (relative to other players).

The Chinese is also never put behind 2-0. So they never experience this pressure of being the sole savior while trailing 2-0

Yep, totally the same way in the Olympics. When TTY lost to CYF in Tokyo, it was PVS who consoled TTY on those feelings (as she herself lost the Gold Medal Match to CM, to attain Silver in Rio)

Do you mean with their thumb and index finger crossed? That is the "Asian" way of showing a heart shape.

Nice to see the Koreans with some smiles on the podium at least.

It can be the ghost if the match between Japan - China yesterday was the final match.

Hoki/Kobayashi and Fukushima/Hirota will not forget this in their life.

Luckily, it's semi-final match and Korea beat Japan 5-0 in group round.

Vice versa, if Hoki/Kobayashi took this win yesterday, It could be the ghost to Zhang Jun in the rest of his life.

if chn vs ina, 1st match is md, it is good for ina. ina has number 1 wr in md. it does not guarantee that ina will win

Chinese never trailed 0-2 because they are too strong as a team. But each player has their own pressure, especially XD players because they always play the first match. Even if u are leading 2-1 it is also a pressure to win the match. U just don’t understand it and just a sore hater

This match order is regulated by BWF since like 20 years ago. Nothing special done in this tournament

You just show your level by posting this comment

    Why am I a hater?

I didn't dismiss any Chinese's strength at different circumstances.

I am just posting another type of pressure that experienced by players from other countries, and what kind of mental strength necessary to overcome it and what has ASY portrayed today.

And YES, you also agree with my statement that China never experienced that special circumstances of trailing 2-0

Are you sure that you are not the hater here by blaming me as a hater?

I somewhat agree with this though, especially when considering that the WD will almost always have the least playtime during the knock-out phase

How to make it more fair? That's the next question

    Good idea.
Even if one player plays two disciplines.
In a way, it can eliminate manipulation.
BWF is just too afraid to change. Always in their comfort zone.
