Nope. But my crystal ball is telling following line-up at Day-3 :p

    MD: Cai Yun/Lu Kai
    MS: Chen Long
    WD: Ma Jin/Tang Yuanting
    WS: Wang Yihan
    XD: Liu Cheng/Bao Yixin

I'm quite sure about the singles. Let's see how many do show up in the court :D

I make bold to say none of the three CHN WS,namely LXR, WYH,and WSX, can really perform under pressure in a major championship, worse when it's held on home soil. In fact, most of the CHN players, male and female, have said it before years ago that they would prefer to compete overseas as the pressure to deliver on homeground is a bit too much to bear (though I'm not sure if this is still the case).

If it's up to me, I might stick my neck out to take the risk and field Sun Yu instead, try her out at the group stage to see if she can take it; if she succeeds, continue to use her in the later stages.

    Okay, see CLELY's post #23
I just missed two players in my line-up: Fu Haifeng i/o Lu Kai and Zhao Yunlei i/o Bao Yixin, so the list still holds an accuracy of 75%, which is not bad after all :D

Even though Fu/Cai narrowly defended their dignity with great difficulty today, but the reality is undeniable, their prowess have been waning out. Just don't see how can they have some fighting chance against the top pairs from KOR or INA or perhaps MAS.

It's a losing proposition to stage them together in the knock-out rounds, and if MD is an Achilles heel for China, then better to stage the younger guns and keep Fu/Cai reputation from further taints. It's sad to watch out a non-performing stellar of the past to be grilled in the court.

a bit harsh, but reality often is.

we should be happy that we get to see them play together again in a big tournament. honestly I don't really see the point of the pairing if the goal is to maximize winning. however, against Thailand is relatively low risk so i guess it was great to please the fans.

    Chen Long after defeating Boonsak:

"No matter who is chosen to play (in the next round), Lin Dan or me, the most important thing is to win the match for the team," said Chen Long, referring to his teammate "Super Dan", the double World and Olympic champion."

    ON lee chong wei:
"I have played against him about eighteen times. I know that everyone would like to witness Lin playing against him," said Chen.
"For me, if I was drawn against him, I am OK to play and will play with my best. I had a better record against him. Anyway, Lee' s comeback adds more interesting things to watch for men's singles. "

"I think there are few changes of Lee's game. He has been away from the competitions for several months," added Chen Long.

    Good to see his confidence

I guess CHN will field following line-up in the semifinals:

    XD: Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei
    MS: Chen Long
WS: Wang Yihan or Li Xuerui (with alternate assignment, depend on whom they plot to field in the final)
WD: Tang Yuanting / Yu Yang or Ma Jin
    MD: Zhang Nan/Fu Haifeng

I'm more or less in agreement, except that I'm willing to give WSX a go.

Yes, most likely CHN will field Tang Yuanting / Ma Jin in WD as they have 2-1 H2H against the INA's strongest pair: Nitya Krishinda Maheswari / Greysia Polii, all the three matches played in 2014 (Jan, Mar and June) yet Tang/Ma won their last two encounters. Other combo Tang/Yu Yang or Tang/Bao Yixin never play that INA pair.

If CHN don´t field Chen Long it will feel like they are afraid of Jonatan Christie who said he had a dream when he beat Chen Long;):p

Ha ha ha such silly nuance does not count at all for CHN team coaches for line-up strategy.

My opinion, if they plot LD to play in the final, they'll stage CL in SF, and vice versa.

But we soon will find out in matter of hours :p

Lin Dan should play in the finals based from the pattern.

Surprised to see today's line-up from CHN, didn't expect Cai or Yu Yang there. But guess today's outcome proceeds as per their anticipation, with Zhang/Zhao as the safety net playing as the last standing guard.

Look forward to seeing their other MD & WD mixing in the final! Must wait a while before guessing their line-up in the final, whom they gonna face will determine the composition.
