Still I do think that China still hold the edge to retain the Sudirman Cup. China have very strong and good players in all the categories of MS, WS, MD, WD and XD. Thus they still hold the advantage to retain and win the sudirman cup.

I think it's obvious to every one who pays attention to badminton ;) Furthermore Lin Dan backs to the stage now, so not just relying on Chen Long.

Well, KOR players look vurnerable in individual tournament lately but as a team they usually become unpredictable and often deliver strong resistance for CHN in several team events.

Right now, Team China if played with ROW All Stars, Team China can still take MS, XD and WD for sure so that's a sure victory for the Chinese. With WS it's a 50:50 if LXR is playing either Nehwal, Marin or Intanon. And for MD is their lower chance of winning although ZN/FHF has already beaten LYD/YYS and HS/MA before in the past. It would take ROW All Stars to even put up a good fight to them at the moment.

    Absolutely.
They may play each other in the final if all countries allowed to have 2 teams to play. lol

But this is a game, we never know what we gonna see in the court. One thing, have great players in team means one step closer to win.

Wow. You count LCW out already. He has been very impressive so far especially again SK yesterday.

I would say Marin is the best WS right now and may 52:48 against LXR. WD is not a sure thing neither. I think the only sure thing is ZN/ZYL.

many many years ago, back in the late 80s, the Chinese women volleyball team was nearly invincible.

then somebody organized a China vs. all stars volleyball tournament. i remember it was a great hit. i wonder if it would work today. obviously BWF missed the opportunity as it seems that China isn't as strong as before.

there are many dream lineup if we just go back 5 years.

LD been dominating LCW for TOO long, even making comparison of them the like of Messi and Ronaldo is not even close and so far from necessary. I would like to see LCW have a happy ending at end of his career though, maybe OG or WC gold, that if LD or CL permits.

They won't permit it. So he will have to wrestle it out of their hands.

At this very moment, LD will beat CL and LCW if the Rio final is playing today. But Rio is still more than a year away, anything can happen. Events will unfold as time go by.

That's almost a guarantee, the only chance of him not repeating is injury inflicting by XXF.
