I think "pretty" is a bad choice of word for such. May be one should say "sexy" or similar words for such. No way! Ashwini is not that pretty! I must have a strange taste, because Ashwini and Wang Lin - I don't find any of them that attractive, but yet so many are going bonkers over them.
Gloria Wijaja is really really pretty. LXR is very pretty too. I think Sindhu is prettier than Ashwini.
2011 was silly 20% non completed matches chn v chn. But 2014 only 5.9% which is below the average of other nations doing it in 2011. There has been a few sub 20minute doubles matches which is the new style, but really there can be no complaints about WO for the time being because the figures don't agree anymore. As long as betting is not involved then I think CHN should be cut a break for just now.
That's what Lu Kai did, the tournament doctor was called who examined him a gave him the clear to concede a walkover on injury grounds. For those to continue to find fault with Lu Kai is to indirectly question and criticize the doctor. Poor doctor, if he had insisted Lu Kai was fit to play, permission not granted to withdraw , he went on to play and , touch wood, injured himself further, who is going to bear the consequences? Do we realize that even an uninjured but mentally disturbed or upset player steps on to court to play when he really doesn't want to, he could injure himself, not just play badly? For me, I'd rather err on the side of caution, if a player is not prepared or willing to play, I simply let him/her be, no point forcing, it's counterproductive. Even when a slightly injured player insisted on playing, I'd advise caution, weigh the pros and cons, whether it's worth taking the risk, and stop the match if I think the player is acting rashly, irresponsibly and against his own interests and that of the association he/she represents.
Luckily, you didn't say LXR though she is my top favourite WS player and I've very high hopes for her, but to call her pretty...errr...err...only in the badminton sense. She won me over once she steps on to the badminton court, the way she plays mesmerizes me.
Agree with you, there are quite a few Russian beauties in sports and their names are not easy to remember.
But anyway, it is no big deal, let's just hope the OLY qualification period would not lead to unpleasant things from any nation. Badminton is sport, it should be noble
That picture was taken in Singapore if I remember correctly, portraying a more romantic era than today.
This is a rebuttal directed to Cinetti not to Justin. I looked up Cinetti's posting. He rebutted everything and praised only Mr. Justin in the "sake" of civil forum. I will shut up now.
It was a rebuttal to Cinetti not you. I was throwing back sarcastic remark back to Cinetti. All his posts always are critisms of certain players that pitted 2 nations which i never meant and wanted to involve in the 1st place.
It must have been cut out of the film, because I can't remember those two were in a bedroom together, they always avoid it
