This thing about facial hair. Doesn't it feel uncomfortable if you have it soaked in sweat?

I think Li/Liu will take it. Their lethal power play is dangerous to most top pair.
However Boe/Moe still can win if they play like today.

Tai is not anyone's cup of tea. Tai's play looks like serious badminton game and makes other's game look like part time playing. Mere retrieving won't help Marin, play like tai to defeat tai.

Bollywood is overrated, way too much money and they aren't even creative. Srikant is a sort of star, Sindhu-saina are legit stars and even more. Sports player have their own special status and respect in India. Be it cricket or any other game. Sport stars become gods. Not many bollywood people can ever come close to that level. Bollywood=money
    Sports=money+status

interesting that boe mogensen vanquished kamura /sonoda & kevin/markus the two pairs that beat them in their last 2SS finals..

just feel boe mogensen have faced these kinds of tough names to get into final including that thai pair while li/liu have easy names but go to rubber.. still feel li/liu will win this time..

1 of this pair will lose 3 straight finals.

Kevin/Gideon's weak point is simply, they can't use their speed when opponent lift too high.
Their speed is nullified and they can't do flat game, their specialty.
Li/Liu have the same style too. I won't be surprised if they win tomorrow.

Agree with your observation about kevin/gideon. Their strength lies in their quick, flat attacking play. However when BoMo used the high lifts to neutralise their flat, attacking plan, everything went down south. They appear at a loss how counteract BoMo gameplan. This kinda surprised me. Can't help but wonder is this fast flat attacking play the only thing they have in their arsenal.

IMHO, normally the top players have this ability to adjust their play to counteract their opponents game plans. That is why it is difficult to beat them.

Kevin/Gideon are promising youngsters. Overwhelming opponents through the fast, attacking play may give a short term head-start but once their game is studied and neutralised, what else is there in the arsenal?

Hence, though they are currently world no. 1 but i think they still have quite long way to go to become top players of their time.

I wonder if playing lifts like BoMo(the most experience pair) can be done with the other pairs that effectively?

I mean we knew bomo will play this kind of slowgame, i think its not just in their high lifts because it must difficult too to keep lifting? i think its that kind of slowgame, delaying tactic too. naturally, bomo played like that thats why they can neutralised kevin/markus and probably because the minions are tired anyway. They dont look that interested or focused. They should learn how ahsan/hendra beat boMo but its not like they never beat boMo?

Hopefully they can bounce back in Indonesia Open, 3 Champion and 1 SF in 4SS is...what can i say.... wkwk

India is the only nation which is not a powerhouse out of the 4, China, Indonesia and Denmark which makes this commendable! India is an aspiring nation! :)

BoMo did the MD discipline a big favour by exposing Gideon/Kevin's weaknesses. But to do that, you have to have very good defence and they were targeting Kevin, the one with the weaker smash.

Yes, Gideon/Kevin was tired from too many tournaments but still this tactic will be effective even if Gideon/Kevin was fresh.

Markus didnt even smash seriously, he is the stronger guy but lost confidence today. to beat bomo, markus needs to carry kevin.(just like the final of malaysia open). They should have just let boMo attack them frm second game like Li/Liu did when they were 17-14 up in second game last week(that is so shiok). If they can defend like that, i think boMo will run out of gas.

There is some cultural aspects behind it. I don't know whether M&S and Saipraneeth follow that. But we do grow beard for some reasons (just to offer to God after certain things happen at home. Etc) . And also we never do haircut during tuesdays and Fridays. Etc

I will pick BoMo for the final, not because they are better, but rather they are my favourites MD.

Although i got to admit that they are no longer in their prime, age is against them.

Yet today they displayed superior defensive power against the Indonesia MDs

Don't think that's the matter here, after #No_Shave_November and #Beard_Beast facial hairs especially lush beard is not a show n style enigma.
Plus facial hairs is quintessential fot "rugged" and "mature" look. All Bollywood fanatics.

Their defensive thought process is top notch and unbelievable at that age. Hopefully the will win their (14th/15th? SS titles) vs the PowerPlay of Li/Liu.
