Well, regular tournaments in China almost always have low interest. Cmiiw but I think Lingshui isn't easy to access right? And yes they chose the (really) wrong timing.

Wonder if Deng Joy Xuan is actually Deng Xuan, the former CHN WS player, now playing for HKSAR.

Just finished watching the MD match between Dai Zhiyi/Liang Yongwang against a Thai pair. Very fast exchanges and good reflexes displayed. The Chinese youngsters are not bad. Watch it in Youtube if you did not watch the live stream .

Hmm...in that case, she adopted the name, Joy, to start anew in HK. Wish her all the best.

Fly to Singapore and take a SIA flight to Haikou from where you can take HSR all the way to Lingsui. Alternatively fly to Hong Kong and from there fly direct to Sanya ( breath taking beaches). Lingsui is not far away to the North East. Good hotel in Lingsui is Raffles Hainan .About AUD 200 a night during non-peak season. You will love the food and beaches.,but the hotels in Sanya can be very expensive. Muslim food readily available near Sanya if you are a Muslim. Been there.

Can play for HK now in Uber cup, AG and Olympics. Has not played for China since 2014. Same thing may apply to Qin Jingjing if she wants to play for Australia.

And, possibly, Tang Yuanting, who is studying in Australia, joined a badminton club there and recently played in the AUS National Championships.

She last played for China in 2016. By 2020 she can play for Australia. Come on, Zhao Jianhua why are all the Guangxi players running away, TYT DJX, QJJ and Yan Runze (not sure about this one). Make sure CXX stays put.

I overlooked Iskandar Z in the draw, he's got to be the fave for the title then.

Yes she nearly upset Sindhu in that Macau Open. After that she never played for China again. At one time I speculated that she might had gone overseas to study and it turned out to be true.

Can't really say that. TYT's case is well know. Disappointment, perhaps, because she was not given the partner she wanted. QJJ may be quite good academically and her parents may be wealthy and wanted her to study in Australia. Like many young people she probably likes her new life style and decides to stay.
Don't really know much about DX's case. The last time she played for China was in India where she played a nail-biting finals against Saina. After that she never played for China again.
