Dear Doctor, I have an injury . Regarding a player telling a doctor: "I have an injury", it is seldom that a doctor who would say: "No, you are not injured". .
Nice fact Nor can we find a doctor who says 'show proof of your injury otherwise don't tell me you are injured' I am sure he will go bust after opening his private clinic Where got money coming in like that. Lol
LOL if u dun feel to work, just fake the stomachache and go see doctor... 99.9% you will get the MC (medical cert) to proof that you are "sick".... LOL
Thats right LD did not need to bribe anyone. In the case of declaring injury or WO, IMO there no chance that a doctor will say no. Its againts their so called "code of practice", and they simply wont take any resposibility if something worse may happen later on. So please stop blaming the doctor, it is either LYB or LD who had the choice.
RE: The last few posts 164 & 165 What took you guys so long to come up with this common 'diagnosis' from doctor?
Frankly, I think some of the posts here are rather childish. If opinions expressed here are similar to those used to invest in the stock market most of you would have gone bankrupt. There is nothing like the stock market to truly put your money where your mouth is. But alas this thread is nothing more than a punching bag to vent your anger and prejudices and some fantasy. There is nothing to lose for being right or wrong.
..... Hi I am Lin Dan. I am sorry for conceding Walk-Over in MAS OPEN. Please don't take it seriously but it was a tactical move by my coach LYB. I apologize to all BC fans out there who spent money on semi-final tickets. In any case, this thread should be closed because it is no longer relevant for Korean Open. See you in the final and take care everybody Pace out ^_^ sincerely, Olympic '08 champion .......
Why Lin Dan has given a walkover at the 2011 Malaysia Open SS? . Hahaha... Our kwun said that my post was the funniest post, as we follow this conversation; Bbn said; LCW is exceptional in that he held it (the No.1 World Ranking) for so long. Sad fact is when two people go for a job in a big firm, one claims to have a degree from Harvard and another from say Third World. who do you think gets the job? http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...s-tournament&p=1570488&viewfull=1#post1570488 My reply was; If I am a boss of a big firm to select an employee, I would select Lee Chong Wei. It's because his attendance is better. I wouldn't select Lin Dan; because I don't know when he work turn up for work. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...s-tournament&p=1570503&viewfull=1#post1570503 And kwun said; funniest post of the week! http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...s-tournament&p=1570510&viewfull=1#post1570510 For here, we are at the same topic again: Why Lin Dan has given a walkover at the 2011 Malaysia Open SS? .
Re: post #171 Hi Lin Dan, You need a new head coach to replace that cunning manipulator you call a coach. Or else, you will be apologizing on his behalf for the rest of your life! LOL Peace and Goodwill, Olympics Watcher.
yea he is a real knuckle head and can be a pain in the a** sometimes I tried to warn him it would look suspicious but he said it's for my own good too as LCW won't get a chance to see my new moves that I trained with especially to upset his double motion and trick shots. Plus he wanted to test out Chen Long, who he said would be my possible replacement in the future. Just for the record, I think I would have beat LCW easily with the way I saw him play yesterday. (No offence but he is sort of slower than me in a way) cheers, Your favourite Asian Games and Olympic Champion
I predict this thread will be closed real soon . How can you say that "He (Lin Dan) is a real knuckle head and can be a pain in the a** sometimes"? I predict this thread will be closed real soon. .
We know not the true facts . What? - Lin Dan is saying that his coach can be a pain in the a** sometimes? I shall make an exit from this thread. Why? Blames are being placed on players, coaches, national associations, etc, etc, ......, when we know not about the true facts. .
Heh, relax Chris, it's all in a lighter vein. Just kidding around. Recommended Dosage: Not to be taken too seriously!
that is probably a GP. if every doctor behaves like that we are doomed. Many are highly professional, just like in every profession here, not everyone is a cheap bribe-taker,and professionals are subject to professional liability. Not every doctor is a quake, there are good and bad apples. There are still things that need to be respected in Malaysia.
The Honour Sytesm - a variation I'm going to borrow from some very definite information that is available in International Cricket. Most of the top 8 cricket teams in the world have a very complete set of technical and medical support staff. Doctors, specialists, trainers, physios, etc. Other top sports specialists are also available on short notice. If a player say, strains a side or a muscle or anything, (and this happens very often) he needs to be rested. The doctors and physios will do the necessary checkup. However, they are all very clear that they are mostly guided by the feedback from the player himself, if the injury or the "niggle" cannot be clearly evaluated by technical/medical means. If the player says he feels sore and unfit, and the muscle/tendon/ligament does not feel 100% ok, they will automatically recommend the player be rested, and will review after 4-7 days. The "prevention is better than cure" method is always followed. So: it's not that the doctor or specialist is not doing his job correctly. He is. But he always needs to be guided by the player's feedback and self-evaluation. He must take the player on his word. This is a variation of the "honour system."
