No it is right in Danish.

But PG iOS now fighting for his live trying to handle LD's smashes. Now 16-13 in LD's favour.

LD won back the second game 21-17 but PG is derterminrd not to let him run away with the rubber. LD has just won a point to trail 2-3.

But a drive down the tramping put PG in the lead again 4-2 and yet again with another fast overhead drive to LD's forehand corner. Now 7-5 for LD.

LD applied more pressure to end the first half 11-7.

PG tries to cling close to LD but LD becomes more elusive n aggressive to stretch his lead to 15-10. PG played some nice net touches to win the last point.

Looking at the draw in XD, it's quite an impressive one, with 20 out of the top 25 pairs present, with the exception of Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu YIng & disbanded pairs like Ko Sung Hyun/Ha Jung Eun, Hendra AG/Vita Marissa, He Hanbin/Ma Jin, and Yoo Yeon Seong/Kim Min Jung. Nevertheless, Ha, Vita, both He and Ma as well as Yoo and Kim have new partners. So, practically all the 25 top pairs in the World are competing in the Singapore SS!

    China:
Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei (WR 1, Winners of Japan SS & SS Finals 2010, KOR SSP & BAC 2011)
Tao Jiaming/Tian Qing (WR 6, Winners of China Masters & China SS 2010)
Xu Chen/Ma Jin (WR19, Winner of AE 2011)

    Denmark:
Joachim Fischer-Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen (WR3, Winners of HKG SS 2010, Swiss GPG 2011)
Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl (WR9, World Champions 2009, Winners of Singapore SS, Denmark SS 2010)

    Indonesia:
Tantowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (WR5, Winners of Macau GPG, INA GPG 2010, India SS & MAS GPG 2011)
    Fran Kurniawan/Pia Zebadiah Bernadet (WR13)
    Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto (WR18)

    Thailand:
Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam (WR2, Winner of French SS 2010)
    Songphon Anugritayawon/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul (WR8)

    Poland:
Robert Mateusiak/Nadiezda Zieba (WR7, Winner of Indonesia SS 2010)

    Germany:
Michael Fuchs/Birgit Michels (WR10, Winner of US GPG 2010)

    Taipei:
    Lee Sheng-Mu/Chien Yu-Chin (WR11, Winner of Canada GP 2010, Thailand GPG 2011)
    Chen Hung-Ling/Cheng Wen-Hsing (WR14)

    England/Scotland:
    Nathan Robertson/Jenny Wallwork (WR15)
    Chris Adocok/Imogen Bankier (WR21)
Robert Blair/Gabrielle White (WR24, Winner of German GP 2011)

    Japan:
    Shintaro Ikeda/Reiko Shiota (WR16)

    Canada:
Toby Ng/Grace Kao (WR23, Winner of Pan-Am Bad. Champ. 2010)

    Russia:
Alexandr Nikolaenko/Valeria Sorokia (WR25, Winner of Dutch GP 2010)

Yes indeed most of the top players are in S'pore with the exception of MAS.

But now the audience is enjoying the sparks of the two best MD teams, Cai/Fu v Jung/Lee with CHN now leading 16-13 in the first game. This should be the finals.

Too bad, I cannot be there. In fact, I miss the Singapore SS since its inception in 2007 (when I witnessed Flandy/Vita lifting the title).

I dont know anyone from BC, except people I know in real life and they have their friends to watch with.

If anyone sits at premium seat, see this lonely girl fiddling with camera, smile at me :)

Oh how can it be! If u play badminton I should join one of the many groups in the BC forum. Unfortunately I'm not sitting in the Premier section this year but I saw Sealman there and some others.

BTW what camera do u fiddle with?

same body as yours canon 550d. i wanted to take photos of badminton players using my camera for the first time. so i got a telephoto lens canon 70-200mm f/2.8 is usm and snapped away. i was playing with the iso, shutter speed and aperture.

i stopped badminton for 4 years already. i dislocated my shoulder, rested a year, then tore my ankle ligament, rested another year, and finally slipped disc and been resting til now.

Wow after all those non-baddy injury battles u must be very strong by now. Hope u r going to the gym to strengthen ur muscles n be back for baddy.

However I'm sure most of the older baddy players must have endured some form of injury to their limbs. I have to wear knee guards n an elbow guard just to continue enjoying the game.

I think u r a better photographer than me cause I don't toy with the other gadgets. Soon you'll find your perfect shot.

MS Semi-Finals: Lin Dan beat Peter Gade 20-22, 21-17, 21-15

Fans were rewarded with a thoroughly exciting match between two famous warriors, one from the East, the other from the West.

Perhaps this Singapore Open will be the last for 34-year old PG after so many final appearances here, thus he give the best of himself to force LD to play his best also. :D

This should have been the Finals, instead of an expected dull all-China final between LD and countryman Chen Jin. :D

I've decided to stay home to watch the finals on TV. That's why I'm able to post these pictures.

BTW congrats to Butet and Tantowi for winning the XD finals over their Taipei counterparts. :)

Oh No! I just noted that LD has given a walkover to Chen Jin! So CJ will score more points now for London Olympics. LD better give a good excuse.
