SRM?. Believe me. She will manage. Standard is not that high . Anybody with money can get seat there.
Malvika scored 92.5% in class 12 exams. The next 3 years will show us if she and the other talented girls can do well on the international stage. We need a pack of girls performing well, we have a bunch of players making the transition to the senior level.

Tasnim Mir needs to choose between WS and XD. Playing two events at the senior level especially singles and doubles is not recommended. In Bulgaria Junior IS she had to play 4 matches on the same day quarterfinals and semifinals in XD and WS, she lost in XD semifinal with her partner Ayan Rashid and won WS semifinal. I know its hard to choose when you are good in singles and doubles. Otherwise she can choose 1 event per tournament. WS in one and XD in the next.
Happy birthday to the legendest badminton creature to have ever graced humanity. legend beater, lindan eater BSP
Out of topic. SRM is autonomous University. Marks does not matter. Only money matters. They take students from different States since it is not affiliated to Anna University(Government). Hope she excel in her studies as well and also in Badminton. But i felt Tasnim Mir is greater prospect than Malvika Bansod. Do you agree? Two more girls, Samiya Farooqi and Vashnavi jakka reddy(!) , i believe will excel if they are given enough opportunity.
I think Tasnim and Samiya top prospects after Sindhu. Malvika, Aakarshi, Ashmita they haven't yet gone to next level and not really good performance to show in IC level let alone superior tournaments. Vaishnavi too seems to be in stagnant mode, at one point of time she seemed very promising. So, Samiya and Tasnim are top prospects for me. Having said this, all these girls are very young who knows they might be a late bloomer like Arundati Pantwane.Ruthvika Shivani and Siril Verma both were promising too at one point of time so it's totally about timing.
I agree Tasnim Mir appears to be a better prospect than Malvika Bansod but we will have to wait till she is 19 for her to progress as a senior player. Saina Nehwal performed well on the Senior Circuit as an 18 year old. Samiya Farooqui is the only one who has access to a top level coach, Tasnim and Malvika would perform better with top level coaches. In the next 2-3 years we will see who makes the best use of given opportunities. BBMP has blocked the BAI Senior domestic tournaments from being conducted in Bangalore with rising COVID-19 cases. This is a major blow as 2000 entries were given including many under 19 players for the senior tournaments. Only the players who travel abroad to Europe will get valuable match practice.
Srikanth Kidambi understands the theory of the mental aspect in major events like the Olympics but lacks the practical application. His take on handling pressure at the major events. I hope he can follow some of his own advice! https://www.sportskeeda.com/badminton/srikanth-kidambi-pressure-faced-top-tanked-indians-olympics

This is just part of the team based on international ranking and current A team. The remaining players who are interested will have to attend selection trials at the Gopichand Academy. BAI haven't specified how many slots are open.
For SudCup I think 9 people are enough, but for thomas, uber cup players from selection trails may get chance.
India currently has 4 WS in the top 100. If we can get to the third target by 2024 India will have bench strength and a pack of girls playing well together in tournaments. WS Targets First target 15 in the top 100. Year 2022 Second target 10 in the top 50 Year 2023 Third target 7 in the top 30 Year 2024 Fourth target 5 in the top 16 2025 Year 2025
5 in top 16 by 2025 that means Chinese WS era of 2010-12. In 4 years, that seems unrealistic. I think by 2025, if we get 3 WS players in top 25-30. That'll be a big thing for Indian badminton considering the way things are going.
