the past of a player whether he is a great or not is not so important as the present form, is he trainable again? can he meet the demand in training and prepare to cope with new challenges during the preparation stage? then, the future will come and tell the story!
LD used to play in most tournaments and he used to win in most of them even when LCW was on the tour LD pretty much won everything when he wanted to build his rankings for the olympics cept the few he had to give away besides you guys that claim LCW is drained... that is his problem if he cant play too many tournaments, i never see PG who plays as much as LCW and being much older complain that hes too drained
PG is older and has been around the block more times than them all, you are correct. The fact he is married with kids, no subsidy from govt to the extent of LCW as far as I know, stays evergreen and still competes with the best...have you met him. I did at Anaheim, heck of a nice guy, you can't say/write anything negative about this super guy. Hall of fame for sure.
for pg, i would agree he is a very nice guy indeed and he is sharing with the world on badminton training, if you all know. and it's for free! very good sportsmanship! at his age, one should not complain of his lesser participations, he has given his best and he is still giving! let's all treasure that! lastly that's my opinion..
