They've won their first ever GPG title at Chinese Taipei Masters 2016, defeated home soil pair Chen Hung Ling/Wang Chi Lin And today they make an upset by sending home World No.4 Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, 21-19, 21-13
Don't u think they are both needs to build some more leg muscle to gain more explosivity. Their upper leg look so tiny in my opinion. They have both good technic, fast but not explosive enough.
Yes, indeed. Their coach said that they're working on that and the process should takes sometime, said Herry I.P. This affect their performance, especially if they're in the third deciding game. Some people may notice they're run-out of gas, in fact their muscle power is the cause while their stamina still in okay condition.
I think both of them need to improve their defenses, good defense include counter-attacks. Also, they need to improve their fighting spirits. They were lucky today MAS pairs slackened up, if against Japanese/Chinese they dont stop the pressure until match is over. Anyway congratulations on today's win
they had won against Kamura/Sonoda in straight games, their only opponent that forever can't win against is Marcus/Kevin...
They are currently in 10th rank. The 'closest' pair from INA to KG. Aside from their mentality, do you think technically they can compete with KG?
Behind all the glorious win of KG there is a huge problem in INA MD. We even have to call Hendra Ahsan back to pelatnas. But when Hendra Ahsan was in the spotlight such a problem also questioned. By that time I still remember Herry said that he prepared Ricky Angga. Who knows KG will emerged all of sudden.
I'll keep my eyes on them, really good pair...just need some consistency a little bit more. hopefully next year gonna be their breakthrough year. I miss those era when we have 2 quality pair like tony/halim and candra/sigit.
Maybe this is the pair that can win AG? akin of KKK/TBH breakthrough in 2016. They were even more of underdogs back then.
hopefully if they can win ag then surely it will boost their confidence and gonna be their turning point
congrats for the medal fajar/rian they're playing so well against ong/teo, both fajar/rian (especially fajar) are so good at changing the pace of the game, very good awareness tactically. tomorrow against li/liu, not gonna be easy but I believe in you fajri!
bad luck for fajar/rian, they lost the final despite being in control for majority of the game. im sure this is just the beginning for them, hopefully they can win some super 500++ tournaments after this.
They realize that they have the potential to be a better pair next time and in several years from now on they could be the INA No.1 pair IF they continue to polish several parts of their playing form. Congratulation for the Asian Games silver medal anyway. Achieve more next time!
