they lost most of their matches because of their own mistakes, very few pair that can actually outplayed them
And it is very difficult to be consistent and less error prone. Very few players can be consistent. Looking forward to their performance next year.
Found this on youtube, didn't know they had met lee/yoo back then. their shot quality have always been great, as we saw in this video, they could actually make the koreans defending most of the time (especially in game 2), it's not actually an easy thing to do. shame they couldn't held their nerve at 20-18 in game 2 Fajar have always said that lee yong dae is his idol/favorite player, so hopefully he could met him again in the future
Yeah he's doing well here I think considering he was only 20(?) at that time, and already playing with superstar like yongdae. I think his playing style now are also influenced by yong dae if you could see it, though his block at the front court reminds me more of hendra
They really need to be more calm in tight crucial situation. rian especially couldn't hold his nerve everytime. also they need to stop acting like it's already over when they're down by 4 or 5 points in game 2 after lost in the first game, I don't like that attitude. Hopefully they're doing better in indonesia masters next week.
They almost beat minions (again). why can't they play like this all the time ? come on fajri, realise your potential...and they need to be stronger mentally too, kevin keep rejecting fajar's request to change the shuttle clearly got into fajar's mind.
Agreed. They need to step up as fast as possible. They already have the materials needed to be on top. They just have to utilized that and also to become stronger mentally. Of course it is not as easy as flipping hands.
I would like one of our Indonesian friends here translate some of the things said by fajar. It was the first kind of video which I've watched in which pro players video chat with each other, so thought of sharing this link.
Woah I'm surprised that marin could speak sama bahasa, but then I remember she used to train in Indonesia back in 2012/2013 I think. fajar seems very nervous lol, he keeps calling rian to help him speak with marin Some of the funny conversation (in bahasa) Fajar : you're..very..beautiful, say it Marin : a little bit Fajar : you're..very..beautiful Marin : nott Marin : lot of people in there ? Fajar : no, I'm alone in here Marin : you're famous Fajar : noo, you're! you're the olympic champion and 3 times world champion Marin : nooo...ssttt shut up Marin : where are you ? Fajar : sulawesi, you know sulawesi ? Marin : noo Fajar : it's in Indonesia Marin : why you didn't train today ? Fajar : lazy...very lazy Marin : Fajar : no no no..it's the weekend so there's no training Fajar is such a likeable character, very friendly on and off the court
LMAO, Fajar is really funny. He shares his trait with Greysia. They befriend pretty much every badminton athletes.
Tough loss in the semifinal, seems like they (or should I say rian) always have mental block when the goal is near, so dissapointed. I just hope they win at least 1 big tournament this year, they need it badly...look how they perform in the first game, that's the real fajar/rian...when they're playing like that they're easily top 3 pair in the world IMO.
good way to do long term investment, or at least to pile up more capital for another future investment
Such a good planner from them. Many successful INA badminton players open up another business like Natsir, for example.
