Seen so many chinese/indonesian players not going to tournaments in europe due to having an injury and then a week later plays a tournament in Asia on full power:eek: . I start to believe that specially for events like Copenhagen Masters federations sends players that dont want to go due to no ranking points and less money awards in such tournaments. Copenhagen Masters are
full of substitutions each year and im maybe a bit harsh when saying that i think these injuries are lies comitted by some of the players/countries but its happened every year as far as i remember and its starting to affect tournaments like Duthc, swiss and Denmark Open too.

Maybe the asians are the europeans superior in terms of skills, but if the asian players dont start to show up in the european tournaments, the interest for badminton will drop, people wants to see the best players in the world, not the 4th nor 5th ranked on each team. This years Denmark Open saw the lowest number in persons showing up for almost a decade and on the final day where there used to be like almost 4000 people there were like 800 this year. No offense to the polish girls, but when they win a 5* star tournaments somethings wrong and the badminton crowd can see that to and gets unsatisfied. As said before they want the best badminton in such big tournaments and if not delivered they wont show up next time= interest for badminton drops.

Of course travelling to europe is a long journey but badminton players and federations have to remember that they are not just egocentric players and people trying to get rich/famous, they should promote the sport in the best manner, and that is done by travelling to places outside Asia and show the world how badminton is played. I wonder how badminton would be without europeans in the future due to lower interest in badminton in Europe, problary the quality wouldnt drop, but i certainly think it would be less interesting.

Just want to know, how much total prize money is there?

Without LD's attendance, I think commercial poster on the web must be changed. This invitational tourney looks like bdm for fun in Christmas feeling, once again lack of Asia's MS top-shuttlers...
