I find SJH's game and demeanor very boring. Yes she plays well, but never well enough to win titles. She has been a top 10 player for a while now but no one expects her to win anything. I hope she proves us wrong eventually.
He's definitely going game by game to see how he keeps up physically. If his stamina doesn't hold up I think he'll probably throw the towel, since I believe MO is not his end goal for this year.
Anyway GG Lin Dan, now I can rest well. Looking forward to tomorrow's MS matchup. Hopefully Lee wouldn't face much trouble against Vincent, especially since Vincent didn't play today and got sufficient rest.
If you can help it. For Lin Dan nowadays, he adjusts his strategy as the tournaments goes on match by match, so he has to decide in the course of the match how much he has to give to win it without affecting the following matches too much. Just saying. I fact, Lin Dan has said before that, nowadays,he planned his tournament schedule just a few months ahead, not for the whole year, not even for six months, except for the major championships that he aims for.
wd semi finals, first match around 11:30am while second match around 6:30pm. I think it's an advantage for jap pair in the final
Quite true, he said nothing about winning the MO, nor the BAC, but the Sudirman Cup is his national duty this year, no two ways about that. Also as far as I've gathered based on the articles and reports available, he didn't even talk about targeting this year's WC.
As demonstrated unmistakably, Lin Dan stamped his authority on the young up-and-coming Jonantan who put up a spirited fight but was still outclassed, esp in G3. Only in G2 that I thought Lin Dan slackened, hoping to win it without too much effort and in the most economical manner but instead his young, strong and speedy opponent had other ideas and forced him to the limit. Therefore , in G3, Lin Dan felt compelled to muster up his strength to finish it off without giving his opponent any chance but in the process expending more energy than he would like to.
Looking at the two matches, viz, LCw's and LD's, I must say Jonatan Christie played with more fire than Jeon Hyeok Jin.
Why divide the two semifinals into morning and evening , instead of afternoon, say 12 pm, and evening, 7 pm ?
I just checked Lin Dan - Son WH's H2H, and it's 11-2 in favour of LD, the two occasions won by SWH were in 2015 at German Open and 2016 last March at the IND Open which is also their last encounter since then. Think about it and draw your own conclusions, if you like.
tomorrow's semi-final will start at 10:30am.. that's kinda early, don't you think? or is it a typo? http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...0BC412-0F19-4861-81CC-85895DA4F30D&d=20170408
