Ageless Lee Chong Wei eying 12th Malaysia Open title after Smoking out the entire competition in All England SSP with an injured knee. He will be expecting tough competition from Rio Olympics Bronze Medalist Viktor Axelsen and Former All England finalist Jan O Jorgensen. Expect a rejuvenated Chou Tien Chen to impress female fans once again. In WS, the highly talented PV Sindhu is looking like a favorite along with Neutrals' favorite Tai Tzu Ying. Carol Marin might spoil the script. In MD, The Unstoppable duo of Kevin Sanjay Sukamuljo and Gideon Fernaldi will aim to achieve once in a lifetime achievement of bagging three straight Superseries Events. In their way will be, crowd favorite Olympic conquerors - Goh V Shem/ Tan Wee Kiong Why shouldn't we expect Goh YL/ Chan Peng to win the whole thing remains to be answered. In WD, expect lot of upsets and quality matches worth watching again and again.
Jorgensen wdn already I am gonna predict that Fernaldi/Sukamuljo and Lu/Huang both win a third straight SS event.

His two nemesis make presence here, Lee is slated to meet the Olympic Champion Chen Long in semifinal and a highly anticipated Lee-Lin clash in Sunday's final if both iconic badminton stars could pass their opponents. Chen displayed uninspiring performance to start this season in Mulheim and Birmingham while China superstar Lin Dan topped SUI Open podium couple of weeks ago in Basel. Other top names in seeding position, newly-crowned India Superseries champion Viktor Axelsen, Korean number one Son Wan Ho, Tian Houwei and Angus Ng Ka Long. The underdogs Chou Tien Chen and Wang Tzu Wei have potential to spring some upsets as they did it recently. Second seed Jan O Jorgensen pulled out also two Indian players as well, Srikanth Kidambi and H.S. Prannoy. Top-seed Tai Tzu Ying who won Dubai SS Finals and All England will be the player to beat as she begins to show consistency lately. On top-half of draw, two intriguing ties may happen at last eight, Tai will take on Sindhu and Sung Ji Hyun has Chinese hurdle, Sun Yu. Defending champion Ratchanok Intanon will start her campaign against Sayaka Sato and is scripted to face Carolina Marin in quarterfinal. Akane Yamaguchi has tough opening round, former world number one Saina Nehwal. One more young talent, He Bingjiao will be tested by Cheung Ngan Yi at first round. In men's doubles category, Fu Haifeng is back to action post Rio OG, this time he'll be paired up with Zheng Siwei. Strong contender Goh VS/Tan WK will find real test in last sixteen Ahsan/Saputro while their arch-rival All England winner Gideon/Sukamuljo are drawn in bottom half with Kamura/Sonoda. All four Japan WD pairs are drawn in same half including the frontrunner Matsutomo/Takahashi. China best chance will rely on their highest-ranked Chen QC/Jia YF as all their seniors are still vulnerable to overcome elite combinations. India Superseries XD semifinal may repeat here in last eight, Zheng SW/Chen QC will face Rio silver medalists Chan PS/Goh LY who conceded walkover in New Delhi. At bottom half-draw, reigning champion Ahmad/Natsir have possibility to meet Jordan/Susanto while recent All England champion Lu K/Huang YQ may find English married couple once again in quarterfinal. CHN-INA future players, two left-handed players Firman Abdul Kholik lost to Zhao Junpeng, the Indonesian took first game easily 21-14 then trailed behind in second game before he catched up to close the gap but Zhao forced rubber games, in decider judging by the scoreline it was a lop-sided game as Zhao sealed the match, 21-10. Lack of strong stamina played vital role here as Kholik couldn't do too much in third game.
Nice to see Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu on opposite sides of the draw! WS rankings are rapidly changing by the week! Not sure why Srikanth pulled out, HS Prannoy probably wants to rest his knee. Sai Praneeth gets Lin Dan and Ajay Jayaram faces Qiao Bin. Verma brothers are missing.
Ct 1 and Ct 2 here as well., as usual, http://videostream.dn.ua/videopage/videoPage.php?g=c2J2b2JoK2F0Y3ZsbmhZ&c=en&i=eWlhaXVidGd1bA№f№f
They did pretty well in g1 it seems, but of course who expected them to do well against most established current WD. SBR/AP lost again to Marcus Elis and partner. I wonder if Satwik didn't played the XD, the scoreline of MD QR2 could've been diff. Also its surprising that CYN/LSH completely outclassed Sapsiree/Putita the Thais were good last week. ZJP lost to Darem Liew, I didn't knew Daren is still playing! Finally a good match for Setiawan/TBH
Most awful TV court line-up I have ever seen !!! How come these matches are not on court 1 or 2 oO: Saina NEHWAL Akane YAMAGUCHI [4] Sayaka SATO Ratchanok INTANON [7] HUANG Kaixiang WANG Yilyu = Takeshi KAMURA [2] Keigo SONODA Ajay JAYARAM QIAO Bin PUSARLA V. Sindhu [6] CHEN Yufei ZHENG Siwei [1] CHEN Qingchen Yuta WATANABE Arisa HIGASHINO Hans-Kristian Solberg VITTINGHUS CHOU Tien Chen That's ridiculous....... -_-
Uncle Lee an Uncle Li have quite an easy draw, but for CL and Axelsen it is hard right from the start.
