It's an unfortunate event for INA camp, Maheswari/Polii and defending champion Ahsan/Setiawan must stop their journey here due to injury. Another setback also produced by Ahmad/Natsir who lost to CHN back-up pair Liu C/Bao YX.

JPN WD had a long long battle yesterday, which was in vain at the end.--

Under BWFs’ General Competition Regulations (16.2.5), both teams will be unable to take further part in the tournament. The Regulation states: “If injury, illness, disqualification or other unavoidable hindrance prevents a player/pair completing all the pool matches, all the results of that player/pair shall be deleted. Retiring during a match shall be considered to be not completing all pool matches.”

Yesterday's match lasted 1hour 33 mins.. and many many long rallies.. And I remember one rally was close to 115 shots in it..

Lets see how much the JPN's pair has recovered from that long gruelling match..

Indeed, so many long rallies happened and drained energy so much...
Most likely two CHN WD will secure semi slots of group B.

The LUO twins wins the match in straight games, against JPN WD Maeda/Kakiiwa 21-13, 21-14, in 52 minutes.

Luo Twins won, 21-13 / 21-14 in 52 mins. Don't think the Japanese pair will overcome Tian/Zhao tomorrow.

BYJu vs WSX, 21-17, 9-11

If BYJu wins against WSX, that will be a tough time for WSX, to go to next round.

Yesterday's results :-
SJH wins against BYJu
SN wins against WSX

First time winning for Bae Yeon Ju of 13 meetings against Wang SX, 21-17 / 21-17. This collapse performance of top-seed Wang certainly will close her chance to go further.
