    Take aways:
    1. WD- Japan again on track .
    2. XD- Cant predict the depth of today's winners as both are from china. But anyhow, new champions have arrived.
    3. WS- Tai , as usual displayed an astonishing performance. Will miss her after 2024.
    4. MS- Anthony is on a roll in this tournament. Pocket dynamite .
    5. MD- Both indian and Malaysian pair displayed a fantastic match in the end to entertain vast of crowd in Dubai in the last match of the day. In the end Indian pair slightly better than malaysian pair. And this is India's first ever gold in BAC.
    Congrats to all the medallists.

Ginting cruises to his first title of the year by notching his fourth consecutive straight-game victory against Loh KY. He is the first INA MS winner since Taufik Hidayat in 2007.

Tai TY wins her third Asia Championship title by beating An SY comfortably in straight games. An SY seemed sluggish and just didn't have the answers to Tai TY's consistency on the day, probably tired from her marathon match against Chen YF in the semifinal.

Rankireddy/Shetty win a hotly contested match against Ong/Teo. Ong/Teo were leading 15-11 in G3 only to be overtaken by the Indians at the final stretch. Rankireddy/Shetty are the first IND winners in the MD discipline here at the Asia Championships.

Fukushima/Hirota finally win their first title since the 2020 Denmark Open and win their second Asia Championship by beating Baek/Lee easily in straight games. It will be interesting to see whether they can keep the momentum and form going into the next tournaments.

Defending champions Zheng/Huang suffer a straight game loss against their juniors Jiang/Wei in a stunning upset. Huang YQ in particular was completely outplayed by Wei YX who really makes use of her height well (out of all XD female players) to stamp her authority on the front of the court. Jiang ZB seemed really nervous, hitting a number of smashes into the net, but Zheng/Huang were unable to take advantage of this. Interesting note by the commentator: Zheng/Huang, who were being out sped by their opponents, might've gotten an advantage if they slowed the game down; obviously not their playing style but interesting to think about.

Two-week wait until the next major BWF event at the Sudirman Cup finals in Suzhou where China hosts their first big tournament since the COVID lockdown.
