Congratulations to An Se Young, a well-deserved and worthy WS World Champion.

And at 21, she can only get better, that's the scary part. Don't tell me she's going to dominate WS henceforth al the way to Paris OG '24 and longer, and any setbacks along the way would probably be temporary and perhaps one-off before she pulls herself up again to scale new heights, I believe.

Ahhhh such beautiful poetic justice for the last point to be a winner on Kim Astrup. Congrats to Seo/Kang for becoming World Champs. I am honestly impressed with Kang in particular: smart, smooth at the net and a banger for a smash!

I’m very happy for Seo Seung Jae. After first game, it didn’t feel like to me that Koreans would be able to come back.

Also respect to AstrupRasmussen for the way they played this week. Looked very hungry for the win.

Just saw the ending of 2018 and 2014 world championship WS and Carolina goes and shakes hand before going to coach. I owe her an apology

It's funny because when I look at kang he looks like the typical korean player that usually gonna play basic shot all the time but it wasn't the case lol dude is actually very creative and has feel for the game

Congratz to An Se Young for winning the WC. This is a lesson to all players that are in their prime and are ranked #1 in the world - always, play in the WC in your prime if you are ranked #1, especially if you haven't won it before. Will An Se Young win the WC in 2025? Who knows. But she won it this year, that's what matters.

Unlike TTY, who was #1 in the world and in her prime, she skipped the WC in 2017 and if TTY retires after the Olympics next year, she will never have won the WC.

Ecstatic korea won that MD title… astrup was a bit too much—- too much attitude, especially in the first set.

Seo Seung Jae, Double world champion in XD and MD ! Can't get any better than that. I guess he played the XD final with lower expectations than the MD and could play more freely and even threw caution to the wind in the former title bout whilst Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong wasn't at their best as their form fluctuates, not too good in G1, pretty good in G2 and then lacklustre again the in the third.

What to do, having beaten the KOR pair in nine previous meetings, it's a matter of time when the CHN XD pair would lose the odd match and it had to happen at the wrong time. That's life.

what a match to finish finals, Astrups and crowd behavour was really appalling, so happy that both Kang ans SSJ were just amazing, and really agree with Gill/Steen, that THE player of tournament is SSJ by far, beating Zheng and Huang and then danes with all crowd support, just unbelievable

it is badminton festival, so it is very strange that it is happening in badminton country, ok, you can just not cheer them up at all but booing during presentation is just very very low, I've never seen it happen during watching badminton for around 10 years in any other country, even in Istora were the crowd is so emotional they cheer up other player/players even when on the other side there is an Indonesian

Yes, even one meter from base line I see them doing just clear. Okay, they sometimes would have to do jump smash with one foot, but hey, they have the legs to do so.
