I just say "hahaha" to BWF. With me, this tournament is just a tournament like others, nothing's special except big money. If Momota is the number 1 as he is on the rank table. he must beat any players to step on the highest position, by TALENT not by LUCK. So I truly hope Momota meets the best players. As I used to say: if you want to be in top 10, you have to beat players in top 10, if you want to be number 1, you have to beat anyone in top 10. One more thing, I'm a fan of Nishimoto, not Momota ^-^
I don't know why people in India just focus to Momota. You have Verma, men! Verma have a big chance to go to semi-final when his opponents are Sugiato and Kantaphon. Let's imagine that he is in Group A, the chance will be much lower. Instead of you look at Verma by optimism, you look at Momota with hate ^-^. It's funny Tell me: Do you wish Verma change his position with Ginting, right ??? ^^
"People in India"? Generalising much mate? He's the only one obsessed with KM. But TBH he didn't say anything repelling or triggering here. Momota must be super happy with that draw, as mentioned above in some posts he is having helluva schedule and any "luck" he/(anybody in his state atm) would be happy to grab. Having said that, yes, his W#1 position and astonishing consistency throughout the calendar year has removed any and every shadow of doubts about his dominance. Ofcourse he could've(and one can say)wouldve qualified for the KO even if he was drawn with the more "fancied" opponents in the GroupA. Also, "luck" being unmeasurable and a relative topic which may differ from person to person is imo very "underrated". It plays a crucial part in any and every thing and anyone who's been "lucky" doesn't necessarily mean he/she doesn't deserve to win. "Fortune only favours the one who deserve it" PS: "people in India " are really happy with SV's draw. Not so much with PVS's tho
"People in India" = I mean "some people in India", because I cannot say Indian, it's all people in India. ^-^ I have a lot mistakes in my post, just because of my poor English.
I am sorry, I didn't realise English isn't your second language and thought you were blanketing all of us here. Peace.
Lol.. You are the one who is in hate . India is a country of population more than 100 crores. You are saying 'india' focusing on Momota. Nobody here 'focussed' on Momota. Everybody discussed the possibilities and the discussing about easiness of the draw. If you don't want anybody to talk about Momota, then you are in wrong place. I did not even talk about Verma . He won't even proceed to Semifinals. The way you ask indian people to focus on Verma instead of Momota is just funny. Lol
Seems like one group of death and one easy group for most of the disciplines. Most glaring in MS, WS, and WD. Rather regrettable draw.
Just a word of wisdom to the newcomers, try not to cross your path too often with that poster. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
New guy here following the world tour finals for the first time, can anyone kindly explain to me how the group stage works? Thanks!
Every player in one group play each other once. Then the two with the highest points in the group will go through the Semi finals. (How they count the points, maybe someone could explain it in more details?)
8 players will be devided into 2 groups. Players in group will compete in one-way round to take 2 slots to semi-final (2 groups = 4 players) Head to head is not counted. We don't have tied match, so winning is 1 point and losing is 0 point. If the winning matches are the same, the losing matches are the same, we will count on the score, if the score is the same we will count on all the winning points in 3 matches in group round, if the winning points is the same, we count on the all losing points in 3 matches. The picture below show the case which the third pair beat the second pair but they were not qualified because the "SF" is lower than the second pair and "SA" is more than the second pair. In clear, If A wins B 2-0, B wins C 2-0, and C wins A 2-1, then C will be not qualify if A/B/C win D in the same score. (because A wins C 1 game)
MD as well... Look at it.. Group B is much easier imo. The group match from grp A maybe more exciting than semifinal or final
