i don't think caroline marin won because lxr played horribly, i think marin played well that is why she won the match she matched lxr stroke by stroke and rose to the occasion when she was required to do so. same goes for chen long he played better, he was simply the better of the two today, hence won the match.

I feel LCW has more overall game and skill than CL, but CL is just a great competitor and brought his best. He won about 10 points that looked like he shouldnt have won.

LCW didn't seem like he had any fire. He looked scared, intimidated, or embarrassed to play. I think the fact that everybody was talking about no Lin Dan weighed heavily on his mind and affected him deeply.

After an indifferent six months or so and the Thomas Cup debacle for Chen Long, who would've thought Chen Long would become the World Champion.

As for LCW, when will he have another golden opportunity like this time to take the WC ? Really feel sorry for him; that's professional sport;that's life.

    feel so sorry for LCW.

i gave him 75/25 chance to win.

naysayers were saying that he will crumble again in the big occasions. i honestly didn't believe that. he has been so strong and CL is no where as solid as him. mental is part of it, but pure form and skills also take a big part. i believed that LCW would've overcome that, no one will crumble over and over again.

but yet again, he did. that was a bit disappointing and surprising.

Enter the Dragon!! I predict Lee could win this but alas.. 21-19 and 21-19. Technically Chen Long won. But matchwise it's a pretty much a draw. Nobody dominating today

China MS : 7 consecutive titles. a new record.

China WD : 12 titles in a row. a new record.

China XD : now they top the table with 6 titles.

I really like Chen Long and his general politeness, but I am freaking dying inside. All things considered, this is such bad news for LCW's future and the sheen of his career. I wonder how close his finger is to the retirement button.

Lucky the Chinese anthem is so cool, one of the best, otherwise I'd be damn sick of it always finding its way to the big occasions.

I think we watched a soul die tonight.

Yes, Chen Long, The Dragon , IS BACK ! Is he back for good ? Let the future tell.

For now, Chen Long has redeemed himself and sort of made amends for the TC fiasco, not fully because a team championship means more to CHN than an individual title.

Next, we shall see how Chen Long performs at the upcoming Asian Games.

poor LCW..but he has still 2 chances...he might win both on his very last act of carreer...2015 WC and 2016 OG

happy for chen long, he is such a great player and fighter and seems a very likable person
