I feel pity for MaJin. She is not having good fortune playing WD and her partner, XuChen is erratic

Agree 100% she played extremely good in past with Yuanting and Jinhua..but they never give her enough chances...Chen Xu is good but can't control himself often..they really have some jinx for their compatriots ZZ

It's up to ma jin now.. if she win the net battle against ZYL. Then they can win the rally.

The problem is LCW is not interested in silver anymore, he even equates silver to failure.

It depends on how badly LCW is taking it this time, if it's a dolorous blow to him, would he still have the will and heart to aim for Rio'16 ? He might be in two minds about retiring after the Asian Games as he has hinted before, who knows but himself.

Imagine he came to this WC firing on all cylinders from the get-go, sweeping aside all opposition round after round until the final only to miss the ultimate goal by a whisker, so to speak. And that not for lack of trying his utter best. What could be worse? I don't expect him to be philosophical about it, good if he is.

I don't think either side is winning the net battle though. the match is won/lost elsewhere.

The Chinese commentator yesterday said, when Xu/Ma were demolishing Danes with smashes left and right, that they simply cannot beat Zhang/Zhao despite Xu/Ma have better record again foreign players, because Xu's awesome offense is offset by ZYL's superb defense. We all know ZYL has the best aggressive defense of all women players.

Seems no one loves or cares about this badminton sport, just their own country's players...

Imo, ZYL is a slightly better front court player than Ma Jin, she sets it up nicely for her partner to go on the attack.
