    Don't worry, be happy.
CHN had nightmares two years ago when they lost the Uber Cup. Maybe deja vu tomorrow.

Anyway it's nice to be dreaming once awhile.

as of this very moment, China is the reigning world champion for every single badminton world champions possible.

    Men Single
    Women Single
    Men Doubles
    Women Double
    Mixed Doubles
    Men's Team (Thomas Cup)
    Women's Team (Uber Cup)
    Mixed Team (Sudirman Cup)

not sure if that will change tomorrow, but as of now. they are, for the first time ever in badminton history, holder of all badminton world championships.

The Thomas and Uber Cups mean too much to China so much so that even non-Chinese fans think it's a disaster or unforgivable for them to lose just once in many years. All in all,we've to say,esp for the last 10 years or more, what will the badminton world be like without China? Give them their moments of glory, their jubilation, their ecstatic celebrations, every winner deserves it,whether we are China fans or not. Didn't Korea had theirs two years ago,why begrudge them? If it were Indonesia,Malaysia,Japan,Thailand,Denmark, etc, I will wholeheartedly congratulate and rejoice with them too.:)

Wang Yihan....two more major titles left to match Lin Dan's divine grand slam

    Olympics and Asian Games

She has two shots in Olympics and once in Asian Games..

Still I want Wang Xin to retire with a major singles title at least

And this record will hold for at least a decade or two. Which country even come half as close?

Wang Yihan will be remembered for a very very long time...furthermore heck she has another 4 years to play.

Wang Xin unfortunately is not young anymore. A pity she can play for another 2 years...

What will badminton be without these two? Li Xuerui on the podium didnt really care about the trophy because she didnt earn it..

LXR didn't really care, didn't earn it? Is it her fault when China can only field her in WS3 and ,other than the group stage, no other country could force China to play the 5th match? Let's be fair to her. I trust you'd agree she will acquit herself admirably if called upon, your various posts said as much.:)

Throughout this UC, I pick Wang Xin as the best performer in the CHN camp. LXR has too few opportunities to be tested, hard to say how well she performed under pressure.

Nevertheless..in the Olympics, you definitely dont want to meet SJH or BYJ..they both are quite dangerous players..

Woman of the match award goes to Wang Yihan..The suspense is as good as the UEFA champions league and English premier league games.

    Great comebacks and wins!

Extra ordinary achievement indeed, three world team supremacies plus five world individual champ, hard for others to pass the record...
Congrats to China Uber team to bring back the trophy, 12th title for them!
Wang Yihan played so sloppy at first game but fortunately she bounced back and showed mental toughness to save 4 match points and took 6 consecutive important point. That moment was so thrilling for CHN team..
Sung Ji Hyun face looks gloomy at podium, she almost made it to repeat what Bae Seung Hee did it 2 years ago, too bad Sung JH was too nervous at critical point.

As thrilling as WYH vs SJH match was, Wang Xin's superb play and Bae's good-looking blue shoes caught most of my attention...:D

When you watch the final moment of the match, Wang Xiaoli was the first one to spring forth to emotionally hug Wang Xin . Guess she too had her own nightmare to overcome two years ago.

Pity we dont see much from Zhao Yunlei, Tian Qing and Li Xuerui....their contribution is almost nil...
