To be fair, i'm not sure why Kevin needs to do thumbs down. He already wins the match. After the match, i dont like to see these kinds of things. He can do what he wants during the match.
As Kevin said in the interview: if you want to defeat us, do it with honor. Don't cheat! He was upset that Conrad didn't admit that his racket touched the shuttlecock. Regardless, Kevin's thumb down isn't appropriate though.
Yeah me neither. Never seen him done that before, usually he just celebrates and that's it. I guess he was really upset with Conrad today and vice versa. I hope both Kevin and Conrad had fun today, because I didn't.
That is so funny, like Gideon is trying to up the crowd but he is like saying what are you doing, Kevin.lolll... in any case, there is always humour in what they do. Never boring.
The comment is a bit careless though. Many Indonesian fanbases had withdrawn their post regarding this issue, wonder why major news outlets are still posting it. Even PBSI's secretary general refused to comment..
Well, the other poster already explained pretty much everything about the post-match press conference in few pages back. Just look it up.
Well, on a positive note (if there were any) now BWF should feel the urgency of revising their system of umpiring and judging. Otherwise, Kevin (especially) will cause more commotions like these in the future if they didn't take any action. Or maybe they are enjoying these kind of dramas?
Either back up that very serious claim or refrain from posting slander, thanks. Also, your own comment is racist insofar as it attaches a stigma (a propensity for racism) to a race ('white'), so even if your claim were true you'd be a hypocrite.
Since this kind of incident tends to cause sponsors to jump off, I doubt they want this to happen often
Funny seeing him talk about honor. Or appropriate behaviour. Or however he worded it originally. Because no matter which way you look at it, he absolutely cant take the moral high ground in any discussion that concerns behaviour between players.
Another angle I missed to save the close-up one with way better angle. Can't find it anywhere anymore.
His behaviour during the match was absolutely unacceptable as well. The thumbs down **** is just not justifiable in any way. I dont understand why the Danes shake his hand after this, to be quite honest, the only way I'd be willing to touch him after this kind of behaviour caused players to be banned for a year or so last time it happened, so I'd rather not touch him at all
Well I hope not. This had happened more than once now.. not to count just Kevin's. They had to. They tried to 'cheat'
Kevin's thumb down here was not necessarily saying "you're weak or anything".. but more like "how could you be such hypocrite and not tell us all the truth,, booo hooo!".. something like that! hehe But hey,at least in the end they shaked hands together in such a cute way.
