Agree with this too. I know there has been a large backlash on the forums pertaining to the degree of LD's injury influencing the results of the finals and it will always be a topic of subjective debate among various factions on the forums. LD's movements appeared restricted during certain angles and his intimidating glares were indicative of a inner anger for not being physically 100% while getting tricked up on certain shots. His post game comments were magnanimous because he is not going to adopt excuses, that is why he is a champion.

Having said that, this was the game that will be remembered for a long time that gave SK immense confidence for the rest of his career. He was a winner because for that brief one hour, he played with no fear and relentless aggression. No external factors can take that away from him. It is the stuff that changes an athlete forever and with more hard work over the next year, sky is the limit for this 21 yr old.

As far as I know, not yet officially married, probably engaged. Someone or other who knows may respond to your question later, I hope.

I really wanted the Adcocks to turn the tides..
But alas it was too much to expect the miracle against upstep inform ZZ..the OG and WC are very confident and not giving any chance to their opponent at the moment

For sure it's a huge encouragement and big boost to K Srikanth's confidence regardless of LD's form. But whether he's destined for greater things to come, let the future tell. Look at Tian Houwei, after beating LCW in AUS Open'13, he's still not up there yet. I recall a certain HK player, Wong Wing Ki, once beat Lin Dan too a couple years back, and till today he's never in the top 10.

Zhao Yunlei is certainly better than Ma Jin, imo, she can smash well at the back, not so MJ.

Of course she is..but ma Jin's attitude and consistency is surely better..moreover she never blames her partner and get irritated like ZYL do when TQ makes some pretty obvious errors

Very boring match..I would've watched the other WD match..the JPN pairs prolong every point just rallying and rallying all the time..
If someone can show you some good aggressive skills currently on the court then she is only and only Polii..
Its her only because of her I have been watching this match till now :D

Though many players had beaten lindan before, only few had beaten him for title. That too china open... That's why we are talking about him here and his name got registered in the history.

Some of members here like jonc and loh , have given positive analysis about his game. Thanks to them...

Some members said that he cant cross the first round... but we are able to see him in the semifinals. What more can we expect from him...?
Whether he beats chen long today or not, his name will be in the history forever.

Srikanth was very impressive against Nan Wei who can be a tricky opponent.

Srikanth obviously put a bit of extra practice time on the net kills that nearly cost him in in previous match against Chou TC.

Looking forward to this match with relish.

Can somebody tell me when was the last time two men's singles SS titles in two consecutive weeks was won by the same person?

You mean when both Lin Dan and Lee CW were absent in one or both the consecutive SS tourneys? I doubt it has ever happened as Lee CW almost never absent himself from any SS.

When Marc Zwiebler could beat Chen Long last week, I don't see why not K Srikanth.

Chen Long may be able to beat LCW more often than not but he's not as consistent as LCW, not by a long shot.

I know what you mean, but please don't lump my insignificant name with Lin Dan, Lee CW, and most of all not with scorpion1.:D

With Chen Long's uneven form, KS might well be the one tomorrow.

I think last time someone won two consecutive SS in two weeks in MS was in early 2013 when LCW won Korea open and Malaysia open.

The INA women are trying to win with brute force, the JPN ladies have better strategy.
