Yeah, I dunno how you feel Ch1k0 but the racket didn't wow me, it just really didn't disappoint in any big way. Like the AX77, I was wow'd by the power and how thin they'd made the frame. The N7 II, I was wow'd by the speed and how good it was for defending. But this is just, comfortable all around? I feel like these are going to be a more apt replacement for Arcsabers. As said, they swing differently to NR, and if you want super fast frames... there are possibly better (BS, Li Ning TC). But as the mid point? Yeah I could see this filling the void of something like an Arc 7.
I'm completely with you on your opinion of the racket. It goes with everything I've experienced myself too. Except I bought it for shits and giggles and went into the whole thing with a more negative outlook. I was wondering what the hell were they thinking not releasing a 3U/4U combo instead (still wondering tbh) but I got blown away by just how well made and designed the racket was. Like you said. It doesn't have enough pressure in the smash even if it gives you the same speed of smash as a head heavy. But then again it just doesn't work that way. It's just a great all rounder that needs a 3U to give it that touch more bite to be perfect as it is. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Thanks for the review. I always had to think of the string "Aerobite". The string is really excellent for control and therefore also on the net. But power is "only" on a normal level. Have you tried your other rackets with the aerobite? I'm thinking if I should try the Nanoflare700 with the Aerobite or BG66UM.
If you want a bit more pop then definitely go for 66UM. But just remember it's not a string that lasts very long in terms of feel. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
I still have half a reel of no.1... I have some other strings to try too. Nbg99, 66f, and aerobite boost.
No 1 was nice but it slides too much for my liking. NBG99 was a nice string. Great control, so so power (for me) it was kind of like an Arcsaber 11 of strings tbh. Hated 66F.. It didn't work for me. Too soft I think was the problem for me. Aerobite Boost.. I am not even gonna bother. I'm not against hybrid strings but neither am I for them. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
I mean... I also have a load of bg80 and some g tone 5... not to mention all of the #5 I still have...
Ouch, that’s cruel. Why would I use 66um though? It dies in two minutes. I might have been tempted by aerosonic if it weren’t so expensive.
Idk. I never recommend it unless it's one of 2 options and 2 sucks for what the asker is asking hahaha. I'm a BG80 and Aerosonic user Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Aerosonic is also my go to string now. Somehow I get by with it for a longer time by using it on 3 rackets used rotationally. Sent from my JSN-L22 using Tapatalk
I agree with your opinion on this racket. Using my nanoflare 700 tonight for the first time. (I mostly use TK9900 in my previous games). I think this racket suits my style of play better. Relying more on drives, than power. But when I need to attack more, I guess I will use my TK9900. Let's see after a few more games.
Now I have also a Nanoflare700 here in 4u and blue/green... and the frame is so much thicker than the Nanoray750 or Jetspeed12. These are worlds! Recommended String from Yonex: Control: BG66UM Hard Hitter: Aerosonic
xm, from all pictures the frame is ultrathin, vieeing front. I think this was the whole point of the design. Can you just measure the frame thickness?
The frame has a lot of depth (the frame is about as deep as the old Armortech frames) but is very aerodynamic and thin. https://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?attachments/4-jpg.192124/ As you can see, it's a very deep frame, deeper than the Astrox. But it has quite a sharp edge, so it's still aerodynamic.
I think there's been too much emphasis on the aerodynamics of frames with thin front profile. That may be nice and aerodynamic for a simple flat panhandle stroke movement, but proper technique requires supination and pronation which turns the racket face during the stroke. So then a deep frame will begin to have higher drag despite the thin edge, eg. Nanoflare. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
