In addition to foregoing, there are (regular) past products deemed to be legendary as follows: - Titanium Mesh (Ti) 10 - Gen 1 - Armortec 700 old color - Muscle Power 99 Whilst for the current/existing products, there are at least 2 products that would join legendary status = - Arcsaber 10 - Nanospeed 9900
Think you didn't include the VTZF88 into the list.... The Arcsaber 100 is still collectable right? And the VT80 Ltd, what I heard is that only some of the racquets have the Japan Open logo on it. Is that true?
All of the aforementioned limited/special products are still available in Jakarta. I was informed that Sunrise and Yonex China cooperated for producing several products. But these products are not available in JP Code version. Amongst others are as follows: a. Muscle Power Limited b. Titanium Mesh 10 Limited c. Armortec 700 Premium d. Arcsaber 10 Premium e. Arcsaber 2 Tour f. Arcsaber 3 Tour I deliberately omitted VTZF 88 Limited due to consideration that I am still waiting for the JP Code version of this product. If within the next 2 months there are still no JP Code version for VTZF 88, then I shall categorize VTZF 88 Limited to this list. IMHO - this is just my 2 cents
Nice sharing demolidor. I always thought MP Series only differentiate the code (i.e., MP90-99, MP80-88, MP70-77), but not the color I never knew the existence of MP 90 TUC2006 up until now. Cheers
I recognize the number. I remembered the MP Limited was a repaint of the MP99 before it ended production. During the lifetime of the MP99, Japan did not had the MP99, instead the Japanese site only had a MP90. So I assumed the MP90 was just a Japanese version of the MP99. If I'm correct, there is no other code than the JP MP90.
Hi demolidor, Nice pis on MP99 and MP90..are there any vast differences on each of the models or are they they same except for the code 90 / 99..and what will the selling / cost of the MP99 if its available today ?? as I was offered one Brand New MP99 in yellow colour for RM650...is this a resonable price to pay? Tks
MP90 also comes in the regular MP99 colour/yellow but the orange is a limited release for the 2006 Thomas/Uber CUp in Japan. Pretty sure I remember most saying the MP Limited is not a MP99 repaint (more flexible?) ... the price was also a lot cheaper. But that might have just been those subjective "feelings" again . Not much, still widely available
MP Limited is rated less stiff on BBE Shop/Store as well ... maybe I can find it on one of those Sunrise charts as well. Ti10 purple in Hong Kong is < RM350, MP Limited see it for RM260 (not sure if stock), MP99 RM545. All store prices ... Ti10 original and white/yellow 2nd gen are (now) the collectibles ... maybe purple one in 2U is one to start collecting now.
Hi demolidor, Tks for the info highly appreciate it, Was offered Ti10 for RM560 and MP99 for RM650 so now I know who to contact if I want one Tks a lot
Which Ti-10 is the question ? And maybe you can nego a bit on the MP99 with the person, after all unless you visit Hong Kong you still have to pay a bit for shipping. No more than 600 should be reasonable I guess if you really want it. Maybe get 10% off @ 590 ... Should note that I don't collect rackets just to collect rackets. Just a few models that I want to play with/keep playing with, not because they may be worth this or that much in the future or are "collectibles" ... some just happen to be those deemed collectible . Been thinking to sell some off to fund another collection but when I really think about it I don't see much point in the other collection either anymore ([customizd] football shirts and/or icehockey shirts)
Hi demolidor, Tks 4 the info, I guess if I wanted the mentioned racquet then I will have to go to HK or get them to shipped it. Pondering n thinking...!!!??? Agree with you, I only select certain YONEX Badminton racquets to collect as I already have a whole lot of YONEX .. please see my thread: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...tage-Rackets?p=1989238&highlight=#post1989238 U r right, maybe its also time 4 me to sell some of these woodies...U c I'm more of a collector of YONEX badminton racquets cos its been more than 10 yrs since I play badminton...due to knee, arm n shoulder pain n still painful even today so not sure if I can swing a racquet anymore...and my latest collection: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-(-VTZF-88-)?p=2002913&highlight=#post2002913 Tks
Do u guys just simply collect some collectible models regardless of the codes?Cos i see here people seldom talk about codes.N sometimes even the used were regarded as collection.Perhaps it's just a different perspectives that we're talking about. But i personally think only the brand new can be regarded as the collection.Plus, different codes means different value. But once again, each perspectives may differs..
Rank the codes for us ! Good luck getting that brand new Carbonex 3 as well . Like everything collectible, brand new only means it's "worth" more. Doesn't make used items non-collectible ... Sometimes used is even worth more, depending on who used it ... Good luck getting certain codes older models non-factory strung as well, apparently that discounts them as being "brand new" iirc . Cut out the factory string and you couldn't even tell it was strung in the first place .
Hi guys, My collection started when or shall I say at the time of Mr. Yonex first starts manufacturing the so called "No name, No Brand / No company" badminton racquets hence I have more than 20 of those woodies, all in brand new (Mint condition, never been strung, played with hand grip wrap still on), so no such thing as codes etc at that time and I just rekindle my collection lately after more than 20 over years when my eight year old son wanted to go for badminton lesson and then I bought the VTZF-88 when I went to string my son racquet and the shop owner showed it to me after having some chit chat on badminton history etc...Also its when I asked the shop owner if she is able to string my Yonex B9000 .... and the answer is NO.... Well now its more of reading and doing research, reviews on badminton racquest and then if after looking, touching and feeling it, then only I buy and keep it as original as possible...YES No string, No opening wrapper etc...even price tag is still on..ha ha ha...Not sure if I ever get to enjoy it...Its more for my son....hopefully he's appreciate my collection when I'm no more around..
wow, somebody would pay $1000 for a racket? my mind is about to blow up http://www.badmintonalley.com/Yonex...2011_Racket_p/racket-yonex-voltric-80-ltd.htm
