A match that means much more for the young up-and-comers than the well-established JPN.

I must say the mutual understanding and rapport of the CHN youngsters aren't there yet, they sometimes go for the same shot.

The JPN pair is more or less at their peak but the CHN pair have ample room to improve.

What relentless tension, a long war of attrition just to get even and force the decider. Win or loose, the young CHN pair have a lot to gain from this match, should stand them in good stead in future. Way to go.

I think the JPN would take the match in the end, they are too experienced for the CHN upstarts.

Again they go for the same shot, the CHN pair; got to play more often together in more top level tournaments to build better rapport.

This young CHN pair is definitely a cut better and has more potential than the other young pairing of Huang Dongping/Li Yinhui.

Jia Yifan is less patient and at the same time more forceful than Chen Qingchen.

Chen Qingchen who is doing double duty is surely the more tired of the two as she just played a XD opening match earlier today with Zheng Siwei.

Both pairs are feeling the strain, umpire - it's more than an hour of hard-fought badminton

Pan Li is telling Jia Yifan to construct the rally a bit more, don't rush.
