No, that will be against Olympic's spirit. In every category, at least one player/team from every continent must be presented. There is a reason why wushu is still not being an Olympic sport.
Only Olympic: some will enjoy the gold medal, and some will regret until the end of their days. I still believe that Tennis attracted media more than other sports because it has its Grand Slam, 4 times in a year to attract media, and it is enjoyable when players can "share" the glory in year. If someone take all Grand Slams (glory), he/she even attracts media further more. That is the way Tennis come to people (especially the children)
I think that is enough. in LinDan case, he is already 3rd and by quite far. 2 pairs/players are enough. Whether its Lin or ChenLong won it, they were the 1st ranked player at that time. Rarely the 2nd pair can win it anyway let alone the 3rd? Of course its tough for JPN WD pairs but who cares about WD? But the rules i dont think is to prevent domination. Was it in place in 2012?
