Damn, it looks like Taufik Hidayat will be meeting Peter Gade at the quarter-finals, if both players make it through that is. They just had to make my two favourite players destroying one another to get to the next round.

    Oh why oh why??? :'(

LCW had a tougher draw compare to LD.

A very good draw for the reigning World Champion Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir, with a smooth ride to at least the semi-final (with match against possibly Zhang Jun/Gao Ling or Lee Yong Dae/Hwang Yu Mi).

The other half consists of Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung, Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen, Zheng Bo/Zhao Tingting, Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms, Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl and Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam  . Good luck to them

MD looks set to be boring until the QF, except of course for the potential clash between Markis/Hendra vs CTF/LWW and the tie between Rasmussen/Paaske vs JJS/LYD in the last 16. A repeat of the HKO final, hopefully the MAS pair can win this time. I'm betting on the Korean pair here.

In the QF, I have Eriksen/Lungaard vs CCM/KKK, which is another great tie. Being totally unbiased ... :D ... my SF lineup is:

    Cai/Fu vs CCM/KKK
    JJS/LYD vs CTF/LWW

Only thing I will say is that looking at the number of byes and virtually unknown pairs in the draw, it's a scandal that Tony/Candra aren't there!

    his draw is good too.
only have to worry about CJ.
he has unbeaten record against BCL (6:0) and BCL has unbeaten record against Sony (4:0)
so it will most probably LCW vs BCL in QF and then SF against CJ.

But Kendrick and Shon Seung Mo might be the dark horse.

Taufik starts off against the 9/16 seed Ng Wei and could have Chen Hong, Peter Gade, Lin Dan, and Lee Chong Wei (or Chen Jin) if he wants to retain his title. 4 players in the top 10!

MS is so much more interesting, because of Taufik's low rank. He has to play Ng Wei (R1), CH (1/16), Gade (QF), LD (SF) and LCW (F) if he wants to win the title ... oh, and if the rest of my predictions come true, of course.
The only round he can afford to relax is 1/32. Poor Ng Wei!

LCW also has a really tough draw compared to LD, bet he wishes he isn't world number 1 now. He has to face Shon (1/16), Bao (QF) and CJ (SF). Some tough games ahead!

    My SF lineup here is:

    CJ vs LCW
    TH vs LD

SSM and LCW haven't meet each other b4 but Kendrick has never beaten LCW (3:0).

the only person (in LCW's upper half of the draw) has a good record against LCW is Sony, but he has to pass BCL.

can't see that happening at the moment ... BCL will need to have a really off day.

    * is not for seeding if u see the draw.
I think this is use for players which has changed their nationality previously.
    Am I right?

I see this symbol for Yao Jie, Pi Hongyan, Wang Chen.

I am again not sure what is ~ for as it doesn't appear next to Wang Chen.
