No disrespect of the girl but for the SSMF really. Isn’t it ironically that her best achievement for the SS this year is a lost in the QF with the others either in 1st or 2nd round and becomes the women’s champion!
no you are telling the truth... this SSMF WS title did warrants least respect as there lacks the most commonly recognized lethal players... yet for WMC personally, it's a big boost to her confidence... maybe it would do good for the WS competitions by adding more excitements although I am still reckoning that CHN WS players are the best in the world..
winning the sea games team event gold should have let her decide to play for mas for 2 years to give time for julia to back to her best after surgery and to give lydia mature her game and mental by that time, tee jing yi and florah ng should become better i never saw tasah play, cannot comment yang li lian and sonia will be in senior team by then please dont retired so early, choo choo malaysia need u! anyway,of course u can play in selected tournament to avoid further harming to ur knee all the best for ur individual event, this should be ur best chance u can have to win 2nd sea games ws gold, tough challenge ahead,u need ur fighting spirit to get through it

Sound Serious Badminton: All England By pekwan Created Thursday, March 11th Psychologist: Mew Choo needs to deal with her own demons Thursday, March 11th, 2010 11:05:00 BIRMINGHAM: Top woman shuttler Wong Mew Choo needs to get out of the "emotional trap" fast to rebuild her badminton career before the Asian Badminton Championships and the Uber Cup Finals. The Malaysian saw only 30 minutes of action in the All England Championships before bowing out tamely to third seed Jiang Yanjiao of China 21-18, 21-9 in a first round match. Mew Choo was left pondering what was affecting her career. "I have to give the matter a serious thought...the time has come for me to take stock of my career. I am really baffled. I started off well and then just faded away," said Mew Choo, who reached the quarterfinals in last week's German Open, where she was beaten 13-21, 22-20, 13-21 by Wang Xin. Coach Misbun Sidek and psychologist Frederick Tan wasted no time in discussing Mew Choo's case immediately after her defeat to Yanjiao. "We will work to together to get Mew Choo out of the 'emotional trap'. She simply lost out there. Once we can bring her out of this trap, Mew Choo will be back to her normal self," said Frederick "Everything was in order in training and even yesterday morning when I walked with her to the stadium. She was in high spirits and she started off well before she disintegrated in the second game." Mew Choo was quick to admit that she has a "host of personal problems". "I start off confidently but fall apart after that. When this happens I am totally lost and give up easily. "It has not been smooth sailing for me. But I want to regain my form and rebuild my career." Mew Choo's next stop is the Asian Championships in New Delhi next month before the Uber Cup Finals. She will not compete in the Swiss Open next week
Oh yes.. Mew Choo does have alot of personal problems. It does hamper her performance when comes to badminton. You cant play full on when something is pulling you from behind.
It's quite sad to see the poor lass in such a state. To have such self doubt makes it extremely stressful for a player to earn a living. I hope the psychologists find a way quickly to turn the "self belief" switch back on. I wish her the best.
Wish her recover and rest well after this Will talk to her and offer her some 'confident talk' if i meet her
Mew choo..... Nevermind, being runner-up in 3 gruelling games to the world no.6 and upcoming WS Saina is okay...hope you can avenge this defeat in the commonwealth games.
Mew Choo: High time to turn the tables on Saina A win over Saina will be a timely boost for the New Delhi Games where she will be the favourite to win the gold medal,” she said. “There were times when I used to beat her easily and there was a stage when it was tough to beat her. Now, I am upset over losing to her all the time. I am determined to change this and looking forward to playing against her in Paris.” Saina is on a hot streak and has moved up to second spot in the world rankings after winning three consecutive Open tournaments – in India, Singapore and Indonesia. In contrast, injuries has bugged Mew Choo and her last outstanding results was winning the 2009 Super Series Masters Finals. “The injuries are there but not a big bother for me right now,” said Mew Choo, whose best result in the world championships was a quarter-final appearance in the 2007 edition in Kuala Lumpur. http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/8/11/sports/6834647&sec=sports
