Hi Cengsc, i had tried 2 kinds of Sealion shuttles before...and i believed the more common one u find in Spore is the White/Black/Gold tube..pai seh..forgot the model... its quite erratic in flying trajectory.. and not so durable and definitely flies alot faster that other shuttles in its speed class...and somehow..the cork head of the shuttle seems abit not proportionate..abit too big. :p IMHO.. i am not so impressed by it.

But the next one..C1101..in gold/green/black tube..is better.. nice consistent flight and quite durable. But i tink its not commonly found..at least from what i know months back. But i bought it last time from Classic Sports. I tink dis one is a better shuttle to play with. :p

whatever you do, dont use Dunlop Club shuttles, well unless you really cant afford better shuttles. i bought a tube for RM 19.90, SG$8.42, US$5.53. they dont last long and the top of the shuttle (the hard bit) actually comes off from the feathers. the feathers mess up a little after a high serve. well, looking at the price/quality ratio, they arent THAT bad but still, would you rather keep buying shuttles or would you just settle for the more expensive ones for durability?

btw, i think Yang Yang shuttles are quite good for their price. i bought a League 2 or League 1 (cant remember) for RM 27. i tend to go for cheaper range shuttles first before going for more expensive ones.

HMM...rsl tourney seems to be the most mentioned followed by sea lion. BTW how much does one tube of Yonex AS30 would normally cost in Malaysia?

Most the official games played in Washington specifically use Victor Green. It is a high quality shuttle. Unfortunately, it's getting quite expensive. The flight is consistent and the feathers are rigid, but durability is alright, probably not as good as AS-50s.

I hate bird flu, buying birdies in bulk is very expensive ><

    Omegamiko,

Victor Green used to be a high quality rated shuttle but due to their QC issues, it is not quite true. The issues they have is mainly with the cork collasping/denting easily - according to the Victor rep, this should not happen to their top rated shuttle.

I used to use Victor Green until I switched over to AS-40, which is the alternative to it.

    Matt,

Yes you're right! I thought that was funny how the corks seem to be not quite so round anymore! AS-40 is like, 1.5x more expensive T_T. I remember Victor green being one of the best, and at $14~$15 a tube, a deal...but now...$17~$20 a tube...*gag*
