    Aeroplane shuttlecocks

    Hi Chessymonkey,
I understand Aeroplane shuttlecocks for export and for local market(China) are of different models' number. For export markets, they use GS1130 etc.....As for local China market, they seem to use 101,202 and 303. According to the shop's lady, 101 is the best follows by 202....etc. Model 202 costs about RMB$90/- per tube.;)
I am going to buy 202 as the shop lady said scurrently she did not carry 101 model. Hope to try it out and see how is their performance.:p

    Hi maa2003,

Definitely will choose AS40.... decent durability and nice flight, nth much to complain as normally use one bird to play one decent game, barring any power smashers. :D

PT-10.... is good also...but somehow problem with the cork... soften alot during play (believe i had shown Asimof before)...no need any power smashers to damage the cork. :(

Sealion..... u better get the Sealion C1101 (gold and green packaging) S$24 :D .... the top grade of Sealion's birds.... better durability than AS40.... but somehow flies abit faster. I tink the one u mentioning is the 2nd grade....not so good IMO. :(

Sealion (gold and green packaging) can only be found in malaysia, and a few places in singapore. The 4.9 fly like a rocket and goes 2 feet out of court, the 4.8 durability is not that good.

After trying so many brands of shuttlecock, I will settle for RSL-Tourney No.1 for now. I have stock up 50 tubes at RM 42 (SGD 19) as the standard might not be the same again the next time. I would say it is better than AS40 in term of durability the rest of the parameters about the same.

    Aeroplane shuttlecocks

Aeroplane black is the best. We are selling Aeroplane shuttles in Sydney. One of our customers in Melbourne told me that they used 207 shuttles for 233 games of 21 points, averagely 0.88 shuttle per game. Is it good? This club used Sealion 1101 in the past and said averagely 0.98 shuttle per game.
The price of Aeroplane black is only AU$21 per dozen. Aeroplane red is also very good with cheaper price.

AS-50 cost NT$505, which is ~US$15.5 from Mattshop. I've used one; lasts more than 1 game if steamed, and afterwards feather is in better shape than other brands, so still good for warm-up.

Define best, I normally favour Yonex Nylons or Ashaway Feathers but I know people who hate the Yonex Nylons for example.

Yonex AS-40 and AS-50 are excellent. AS-10 to AS-30... not so good.

Rsl shuttles are good, their lower end (tourney 3-7) are much better then Yonex (as 10 - 30), and they are much cheaper too.

How much can you get them? The cheapest I can get currently is S$26. The Protech PT-10 quality has drop alot. The cork softens quickly after hitting a couple of times....

I remembered last time when I knew one of the staff working @ Yonex Sunrise, I could get AS40 for like S$17. But that was 3 years ago. :D

    hi,

can tell more abt the sealion, seems not bad....
hw many set of games can the shuttle last, speed and durablility.
agree that the pt-10 has dropped its durablility.
