I don't think it's a school. If anything, it's probably a community centre. It has a library, pool (i think), and such.

Hope to see you in september!

It used to be a high school but they've since turned it into a community center... eco qaurtier and several other srvices etc...

There is no pool but they did make one in a seperate building in the back... it's called st. roch pool but it's closer to ball street, go figure.

I was a bit busy this last sunday and probably this one as well but I will try and make it since I know how much you all miss me! :p

    Later!

Haha, it was a quiet sunday last week. Tons of empty courts. And the weather was pretty disgusting too: hot and humid.

I'm urgently looking for someplace to play this summer. I'd want to go somewhere where the price/player/court/hour isn't expensive. (8$ for 2h is expensive for me, low on budget).

Come check out the digs at hingston.... first time is free!

I think anyone can work that into their budget!

And if you like it's $30 for 15 visits after that... and that's still hands down the cheapest place to play I have seen so far....

Oh no... I just noticed that i took 83 minutes of bus ride to get there. That's what i hate about montreal... i can't find a place with a nice price, a close enough location, and fitting schedule. The first two bother me the most.

William Hingston is great. Well lit, good flooring and decent crowd. I haven't yet seen any B level players, so up to C level (including myself).

Does anyone know if there's anywhere else to play during the week? Ahuntsic is closed for a couple weeks...

    Hi folks,

I will be in Montreal (Guy/Concordia Metro) in August and am looking for a place to play badminton. I'm a fairly new player but love the sport so was curious where you guys play and when. I don't know the area nor know how to speak french so there will be some barrier.

Hey, I was simply wondering, when can we start playing badminton again at William Hingston's? Cause I know the people in charge took 2 or 3 weeks off, I just don't quite remember when they told us they will be back....does someone know?
